Stacks Docklet

Hi matonga,

could you please take a look at the win2k icon handling as well? Thank in advance.

@szekelya and matonga,

I'm using an older version of this docklet (356kb, 17th dec) with objectdock under windows 2000 and everything works fine (48 pix 32 bits icons -> rpl2k.dll). The new versions do not show icons at all!

Matonga, Thanks for all your brilliant coding! I'm Checking your posts whenever I go online!

#485964

this is so nice, very usefull but still i have to ask

@anyone:

Is there a wrapper for Y'z Dock that allows to load an ObjectDock plugin in Y'z Dock?

Or... does anyone have a copy of the SDK that allowed to compile an ObjectDock plugin to Y'z Dock?

I couldn't find either of these stuff.

@elix000:

That feature is scheduled, but actually I don't have that much time to work on Stacks Docklet. Remember I do this in my spare time ;)

Other things scheduled: adding drag n'drop support for AveDesk, option to bold fonts, fix text background height in fan mode, etc...

Thx Chefken.

@Matonga : Is that what you're looking for ?

@Ghostwalker:

Oh, I see... thanks, good to know. However I won't replace GDI+ to reduce page faults... the docklet runs fine even in slow machines. This should be fixed by Microsoft I think.

Anyway I'm looking for the wrapper, but if I can't find it... well... I suppose I'll have to write one. :(

#486010

Well i still need help with the same problem that i posted up earlier..

so does anyone no how to help me?

#486022

correct me if I'm wrong but aren't you looking for the wrapper as released in this thread below?

http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/showthread.php?t=9896

If so, why not PM Ave and see if he still has the files you previously mentioned?

Ave might not like this getting around but, under the heaping spoonfuls of ego'd sarcasm and IE7 fan-dom lies a caring football enthusiast and overall nice guy ;)

@iBeaner:

Did you try owning the RocketDock folder? This seems to be a permissions problem. Also check you have the latest version of RocketDock installed (I have version 1.3.5, I tested with version 1.3.1 and it didn't work with that older version).

@firecracker6:

Didn't you read the last post of the thread? ;) Also I PMed AndreasV about half an hour ago, and'll wait for about three or four days for a response before looking for an alternative :)

#486025

ok thanxz...i do that right now..

thank you so much for

this app itz the koolest..

#486028

@matonga~ I did catch the last post~ that's why I suggested PM'ing him ;)

I hope you're able to find the files you are looking for, I'll also look around for the files in my archives since I used to download all that stuff religiously. But I've since lost a few of those directories along the way so...

@firecracker6:

Ok, thanks in advance! :)

Using RK Launcher, latest version of docklet:

27705914pi5.png

the stacks now overlay the dock, which they didnt used to, this a bug? because i dont like how it looks much..

#486032

@ chatpristi: are you love Matías? me too..

hehehe

#486034

@ears1991:

No, this is not a bug.

It is intended to look like that.

It was a requested feature by most users of Aqua Soft.

Just kidding! :P This has been already reported, and I'm working on it.

lol I thought you were serious. Are you going to add the arrow part? It would provide enough space away from the dock. Like I said in my other post a "speech bubble" effect just like on the real mac.

#486042

:P not only are you an awesome developer, but you have a sense of humour to haha

@TomTomx

nice to see you here too lol, following this little docklet too

#486044

@Matonga

Ima Restart my laptop...

cross your fingers...

hopefully it works...

#486045

It still doesnt work...

:(

what do i do???

#486048

@iBeaner:

Go to C:Program FilesRocketDockDocklets (this folder may vary depending on your Windows installation).

There must be a Settings.ini file there. Open it with Notepad (or similar). Check if there is at least some [Dockletxx] section, for example my Settings.ini file looks like this:

[Docklet9]
[Docklet10]
[Docklet0]
[Docklet1]
[Docklet2]
[Docklet3]
[Docklet4]
[Docklet5]
[Docklet6]
[Docklet7]
[Docklet8]
[Docklet11]
Folder=C:Documents and SettingsMatíasMis documentos
Icon=IconsMatongatestfoldersfolder-docs.png
Mode=0
Sort=0
[Docklet12]
Folder=C:Documents and SettingsMatíasMis documentosMis imágenes
Icon=IconsMatongatestfoldersfolder-photos.png
Mode=1
Sort=0
[Docklet13]
Folder=C:Archivos de programaBorlandDelphi5ProjectsStackDockletrefお知らせ unicode test
Icon=IconsMatongatestfoldersfolder-downloads.png
Mode=0
Sort=0
[Docklet14]
[Docklet15]
[Docklet16]
[Docklet17]
[Docklet18]

Those Folder=,Icon=,Mode=,Sort= values are from the Stacks Docklet. If the docklet refuses to be setup, try to deduce which Dockletxx they are, and setup the Folder=,Icon=,.... values manually. Icon= is a relative path into RocketDock's icons folder.

Edit:

BTW you don't need to restart Windows to test if it works. Just right-click the dock, choose Quit, then go to start menu, ... Programs, RocketDock, and choose RocketDock and it will start again.
