Stacks Docklet
Great docklet!Im running on vista and objectdock, and the only problem is when trying to select the icon in objectdock i click the ok button to apply changes but the path does not appear , i tried this on my xp computer and it worked perfectly.
I'm running vista + objectdock and the docklet work fine when I change the icon...
A thing I just noticed on RocketDock: If I have magnification on, I open a stack and then, without closing it first, open another stack, the dock will unfreeze and allow the icons to magnify on mouseover with the stack remaining open.
I hope I explained that to where you can understand it.
I can do the same with ObjectDock.
The same with RK
I didn't expect it from ObjectDock. If ObjectDock (from where the API comes) unfreezes itself, I'll have to develop some workaround (I can't tell the dock not to hide, so for anyone with autohide, telling the dock not to freeze comes with another problem).
I don't know if this has been mentioned but is it possible for the title of the docklet not show up when its being clicked? Because it seems to overlap the icons when its in fan mode.

Also it would be cool if you could add mouse over effects (like the selector box or something) Another idea could involve adding sound effects when you click on the stacks icon 
Very, very cool docklet. It works great for the most part, but when it tries to open a folder, it freezes up. It doesn't look like anyone else is having this problem, maybe it's just me. It does it in RK Launcher and Rocketdock. Keep up the hard work!
EDIT: I restarted my computer and now it's working fine. Awesome stuff, I love it!

actually I've been thinking even more. Would it be possible to make a program that can
"automatically reflect" icons? But I guess that would probably involve writing a whole new dock program...
Edit: Also in the grid view. There is a little tiny arrow that points of the semi-transparent square

How did you change win default folder icon with leopard folder?
@ nickdc: It's Mac OS X Leopard on the screenshot, not Windows!
To change Windows' default folders, you need to edit the shell32.dll with ResHacker or another similar tool.
@narr and all of the other Vista users whose RD doesn't save the stack's icons and paths:
Run RD as admin once, configure your stacks, quit RD and restart it using standard rights. Works fine here (Vista SP1 RC1).
i have vista and rklauncher gave me huuuge hugeeee problems
it would make my computer screen go white and it loaded as that and thought it was fine
it got to the point that no taskbar was shown no gadgets or my widgets shown no desktop items
nothing
and i had to take the battery out and as it restarted i whent to the safe mode had to go into the programs list and uninstall it
not because of your program enhancer
because of rklauncher itself
Better use RockDock with Vista, I had the same problems with RK.

I'm using this with Objectdock 1.9 on XP and it works like a charm. The animations are smooth, everything is visually pleasing, and I am yet to encounter a problem. Great work!

I"m sure he'll get right on that after you basically demanded him to do it. A simple bug report would have sufficed.
Hi, i have 4 Stacks Docklets in rk launcher.
Everytime i started rk launcher i got the error message "class already...".
Now everything works perfekt!
Just copy the StackDocklet.dll in your directory (C:*RK LauncherRK Launcher 0.41 Beta NightlydockletsStackDocklet)
and rename it like you want.
For example my *dlls:
StackDockletAdobe.dll
StackDockletOffice.dll
StackDockletPrograms.dll
StackDockletGames.dll
the new *.dlls are now visible in the "add docklet" screen.
If you activated "hide shortcut symbol" or anything similar in a program such as TuneUp Styler from TuneUp Utilities, shortcuts won't work. Just uncheck this option and it works again. You may need to restart the dock though.

I commentr you I also had the problem with shortcuts, they didn't work.This was because I removed the arrow to make them more "cute".
To make your program work, you must recover the following registry items:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTlnkfileIsShortCut
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTpiffileIsShortCut
You add them as multiple value without any value.
Then just restart the computer and you are done!
I comment this to you because it was such a headache to find the solution.

another way to hide/remove these shortcut arrows is "tweakui" by mr. gates himself (windows xp. don't know if there's such a thing for vista). works with anything, so it works with rklauncher and this muppetational ;o) peace of software we're talking about.
if you ask me, matongas stacks docklet is my favorite peace of customization for 2007. thank you, matonga. just great work. maybe this is simple to do/code for anyone who knows how... but nobody did so far for windows. it's one of those little things apples "think different" stands for. you don't really need it, but you love it at first sight. because it just works and it makes working kind of fun and experience, optical and technical. all those little "aha-effects" (like we spell it in german) make osx the "better" operating system. it simply feels better. and again: not only does it look and because of that feel better. it works like a charm. microsoft will never get that point, i think. windows will always be kind of a "buggy" optical copy, a look-alike. thank you for bringing another peace of that feeling to windows, matonga. ...amen *lol*.

you wrote »THIS IS NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR KKMENU«. why not think different? maybe it could instead be an addition to the »functionality of Mac OS X Stacks itself«. from my point of view the option to have some kind of dynamical menus by (e.g.) a rightclick-option to "popup" subfolders would make your docklet an outstanding peace of software. finally it would take the osx-functionality, the idea and the "feeling" one step further, i think. ...only the stacks, not the fans... imagine: there's a stack with subfolders of the dock icon's folder. clicking one of these subfolders the stack makes its move back into the dock replaced by the next stack. wouldn't that be an awesome thing to see? and a very useful one? i'd definetly love it. and i'd use it for nearly every "personal" folder on my disk. because maybe it's the default structure to have (for example) one folder for pictures with many subfolders in it containing the pictures (you wondered about that, but in any way your stacks load thumbnails faster than windows explorer, by the way) ...that thing would definetly be my finder in almost every case. it would be my start menu. it would just be great.
