I have put the genie in the right folder but it wont work? am i doing something wrong?, i have restarted the app but that makes no difference?

My lamp effect works fine. 
But I do have 2 bugs.
Thr first is this: when the Lamp effect is enabled and I minimize a program, if I try to maximize the program from the start bar, a second icon (all black) appears in the dock. It's not that big a deal - if you click the black icon, it simply disappears.
The second bug (is this a bug?) is that the dock isn't as... efficient? It zooms fine and everything, but if other programs are churning away, the dock can be sluggish or even unresponsive. This NEVER happened in the .04 build 152. In the previous releases, I could burn a cd and install programs and surf the net all at the same time, and the dock acted like it was the only thing running... smooth as silk.

That's right! On my comp too! This i already said but nobody seems to care or use konfabulator. So...
@Catalyst: I didn't change anything in terms of app priority... RK Launcher runs at normal priority and that could be a problem when a lot of apps are running... RK Launcher shouldn't be the only one that's slowing down...
Anyway setting it to higher priority might help...
please look at the Known/Confirmed bugs before adding to this list...
What about the minimize issues? I get windows that sometimes minimize to the taskbar and I have to restart RK Launcher so they will minimize to the dock again

Turn magnification off, then do the steps U told before 
Ive noticed that only applications that have been opened by RK Launcher will minimize to the dock.. apps that I have open before running the Launcher will minimize to the taskbar... this is very annoying when running objectbar!
I never experienced this bug but I think it's the OB's trayserver.exe fault for installing a faulty Win32 hook

Interesting. I've got Konfabulator running on my machine. Apparently, there might be a conflict between Konfabulator and RK Launcher trying to use the same DirectX resources at the same time. About how much does it speed up?

OMG, you just got me to disable AVEDESK and try and without it running I get the EXACT same results. IE :
With Avedesk running it slow and buggy
Without it fast as hell.

Ok, not sure who is at fault here. But Avedesk runs fine, however with it running the genie effect will be slow and laggy.I think if you and Raduking can get together you can solve this conflict. Check the video here about konfubulator and rk launcher, I get the exact same problem with Avedesk. I have more hope of you and Raduking getting it fixed between you than Konfubulator.

4. Genie effect is hella slow
5. Close avedesk
6: Genie effect works at full speed.
Ya, recall! AveDesk does the same thing as konfabulator to rklauncher!

Hello, I have a huge bug. When I minimize Windows folders or explorer, it hides the taskbar also, and just leaves a shawdow from Y'z Shadow.

how does it works?
i 've a folder added to the dock and when i hold the mouse button so nothing happens. the folder does not show the content (like the real mac dock).
or is that something else?
edit: i reinstalled RK Launcher and this 'problem' s gone. it works fine :-)

Also I have found another bug...
If I have Firefox and iTunes open and both are minimised to the dock, then I open up firefox and close it, iTunes appears on the taskbar for some reason. I have a feeling it might happen with other programs aswell. Haven't really looked into it.

Works fine here...I didn't even know it was slipstreamed into this release.
But after trying it out, I guess I have a feature request. I have a folder that contains shortcuts to some applications, and I put the folder on RKL and use a "tools" icon.....then when I click-hold the icon I get a list of the applications in the menu. Only problem is each menu item has ".lnk" after it (denoting it's a shortcut)...so I have entries in the menu like Word.lnk, Notepad.lnk, etc. If there's a choice to disable the ".lnk" from displaying that'd be great. Yz dock strips off the .lnk automatically

The more windows with alpha transparency you add to your desktop, the slower it will get.
Also, Windows XP seems to run into synchrinizing issues if more than one app draws these kind of windows at the same time.
IMHO, You have the following options:
1- Add more GHz.
2- Code or wait for a dock emulator konfab widget.
3- Use less active and smaller konfab widgets.
4- Turn off magnification.
I don't think if u add more GHz to your comp do any good (in this case)! But i have noticed another thing: if there is no kon widget under the windows that is going to be minimized to rk, the speed is good (on my comp is actually the same as if kon is off). So, there is no need to turn off kon. If u have another monitor (or a tv on tv out) and move all the widgets on that to see what i am talking about.
Now, i don't know what is the use off this (none exactly), but maybe all the developers in the house could help some how with good advices, not like: turn off kon or wait for the ...end of the world or something.
