Aqua-Soft ForumsAny windows you open after you run RKLauncher will minimize to the dock. So, if you make sure it starts with Windows, then you shouldn't have any problem at all.
RK Launcher v0.4 - BUG REPORTS
OK, I have recently installed a system tray dockelt for OD which can be found here http://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?...D=3916&LibID=29
I am not sure if the crash of RKlauncher is related to this docklet, however before installing such a dockelt RKlauncher has never crashed. Also, such a docklet does not seem to work correctly.
Please check the attached file for information regarding the crash (windows has built this report automatically).

I am using the latest nightly build.
That systray docklet would even cause ObjectDock to crash after a while, so I'm sure it's just the docklet. It was never all that great of a docklet even in Stardock's own dock.
RK launcher crashed again. This time I do not know why. The tray docklet that caused RK launcher to previously crash had been removed as of yesterday, so I am not sure why this happenned.
Attached is the error report automatically built by windows.

I'm getting an error when starting up the newest nightly. "This app has failed to start because MFC7IU.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
Any ideas?
Now it's saying that MSVCR71.dll was not found???
Try using Google and you can download it easily, then stick it in your windows/sys32 directory, or in your rklauncher directory.
First of all, i must say, this is a very nice program, i tried other docking tools, but this has to be the most interesting one i came accross.
As for the Genie effect. It runs at a decent speed, but the window leaves a chopy trail is it minimizes

I am having a problem when my computer starts up, Ok I have NO idea what happend I don't even know if it is RKLauncher BUT when I start up my computer RKLauncher just runs really really slugish until I right click and goto my dock options and click X on the options window but after I do that it runs fine? It just out of the blue started running slow? I haven't done anything to RK or anything just yesterday I started up my computer and it was slow, But before that it was like sooooo awesome now it is a pain when I start up my computer (getting annoying). If anyone can help me out here that would be oh so awesome!!!

If you know when it started, you could perform a "System Restore" to go back before your problem started.
You could also perform a cleaning. Sometimes excessive files (especially tracking cookies) can slow a system down.
I would suggest you consider installing the http://www.ccleaner.com
Do a cleaning (remember if you select clean cookies it will get rid of cookies that you may want). Then do a scan for issues.
If this doesn't work, you may want to scan for spyware. Last resort would be the "System Restore".
Not sure if this is just me. But when ever i try to drag an item to the dock. the dock will constantlly flicker untill i mouse away from it. but if i close the dock, then try it again, it will work..
I have CCleaner, I have run the spyware scans and so on still no luck, I am a clean freak on my computer so I run CClean like everytime I close Firefox. RKLauncher was running perfect until I shutdown my computer yesterday, I leave it on all the time so I deicided to shut it off for a while and now I have the problem with RK? Oh and it kind of started when I downloaded OB Mod for ObjectBar, I don't know if that could have done it but I have uninstalled OB and OB Mod and I didn't see it stop what it was doing so I don't know? Whatever the problem is I really wish I could fix it I love RKLauncher and it is getting annoying because I have to right click the dock and goto options everytime for it to run smoothly...
/EDIT: Is there a way to really clean RK out of my computer and then download it again like can someone tell me all the files that I can delete and where they are located so I can just make sure that all the files are gone and then just reinstall RK?

I would suggest deleting the RKL directory then use one of the better registry cleaners to delete all references to RKL in the registry. Before that, under the Behavior tab is a check box for Registry. Did you try checking this??
When I have HIDE THE TASKBAR checked, the taskbar stays hidden, but when my screensaver goes on and I come back to my windows, the taskbar is visible again.
When I use the empty the recycle bin from the recycle bin docklet the "confirm delete file" dialog box isn't the one is focus, it's always the last window I was in which means I have to either minimize all of my windows till i can get to it, or I have to Alt-Tab to it. Does anyone know of a fix for this?
@one80: what version are you using? Some of the older versions of the dock had that problem, but I believe it's fixed in the latest nightly...

In RK launcher 0.41 beta 111 nightly I'm unable to show properties of "Recycle bin").
In RK launcher 0.4 beta 186 there was a problem with those properties: Only icons form %rk_launcher%icons and %rk_launcher%dockletsrecycleBinicons could be choosen. Other icons are available only trough config file. Also "change icon" option was available for "dock item" (it is set by docklet itself so it shouldn't be possible to set icon of "dock item").
In RK launcher 0.4 beta 186 there was a bug with special characters.
When docklet's name contained some of them, config file was saved incorrectly (string "name=somelink=" instead of "name=some#Namenlink=" was saved - # indicates position of special character).
RK launcher 0.41 beta 111 nightly seems to fix it in some way (but it is still not a final solution) by removing such special character.
Any chance of getting RK-launchers source ?
Not sure if this bug has been reported before (don't kill me if it has 
). When trying to access the menu of all items in a folder that has been dragged to the dock it will only work if the dock is unlocked.
I like to run the docked locked as I have a tendencies to start moving the mouse before I've completely released the button.
Great program and very stable even though in beta. Best dock out there as of yet. Thankyou.
I know I posted about this before, but it's more of a temporary solution.
In the control settings, the slider for resizing both the dock and the magnification size do not work. They slide, but nothing changes, not the numbers and not the dock. I don't know if this is a problem with my computer, or with RKLauncher itself.
I can only get around this by editing the text file that holds the settings for RKLauncher. I change, then save and reload RKLauncher. This method is a fix for me, but an inconvenience. Is there anyway I can possibly fix RKLauncher so that I can resize using the control panel instead of editing the file directly?

Hello, It has a problem with Rk-launcher. When I open the software it use only 3 or 4mo of ram. When I put my cursor on the dock, the zoom appears and rk-launcher use 7mo of ram. I think it’s normal. The problem is : when I remove my cursor, the zoom disappear but rk-launcher continue to use 7mo of ram. I think it’s not normal. And, the worst is when I open the setting window. The rk-laucher use 12mo of ram and when I close the window, the software continue to use 12mo of ram. It’s a big problem because when we use many sofware likes your software it slow down the computer.
Can-you corect the problem?

if 12 mb of ram is a really big deal, I think you may have other computer issues on your hands. other than that, i dont think RK has a leak.
My rklaunch occasionally uses more than 300mb of memory, but that is really very rare.
still, i think this belongs to the bug report thread.
It's not big but I think its not normal. Its a small wasting of ram. When we have many wasting of ram its not good for videogames.
PS.: My computeur have not a lag problem...

That is a problem. I think it depend of the picture thar we use of the dock. When we use a big pictures the problem is biger than when we use small picture but it have already a problem.
