RK Launcher v0.4 - BUG REPORTS

I'm not very interested in beeing an offical beta tester. There are to many things to do at my own programs wich aren't related to this Forum .

I've deleted my last bug report here, becourse some of my own programs seems to force RKLauncher to flood memory.

I've tested them many times yesterday and I'm still searching the bug. Today there are no signs of RKLauncher... Thats driving my nuts.

Please don't throw rocks at me. I'm really not shure, what went wrong or when. But when RKLauncher shows up 350MB Memusage, I'm

far away from a though about my own program. Sorry for that again.

Hey, man, don't be like that! I don't like throwing rocks at nobody. If u ask me, I am all for help in the forums, bugs or anything, but since Radu said what he said and we all fear that he will stop developing this beautiful piece of code if we do not obey his wishes, so...

You missunderstood this, it was just an ironic statement and wasn't related to you. I understand your fears about Radukin, but I'm a developer by my own and I'm some kind of glad for each bug report. They only wan't to help you, but okay each human is different. I will now stop posting reports becourse I'm now afraid too, that he will stop development...

the thing is the nightly builds are intermediate builds that may contain bugs, so for every build bugs may appear or bugs may be fixed... that's how programming goes... if you're a programmer you know that

I'm glad if I can fix bugs but for nighties I just need official testers cause it's easier to track the bugs between the builds...

I hope you understand...

This not exactly my way of programming. I don't follow the nightly politics. I've got a couple of offical beta testers by my own but I never release an App, until they say it's ok to do it. So there is a long time between two releases. Bugfixes will be released between to official releases, but i don't release nightlys.

Just do it your way, I never meant to change this...

There is such problem. If I move a file which name contains symbols of cyrillics, on an icon of any text editor the file does not open. With files which name contains only English symbols or consists of figures, everything is all right.

I'm still getting problems with the taskbar staying hidden after checking "Hide the Taskbar" in the Behavior settings. It works and then the Taskbar just randomly starts popping up. Was that way on the previous version I was using and still that way on the latest nightly that I just installed today. This is pretty much the only problem I have with the exception of the slideshow when minimizing using the genie effect. Anyone else having problems with the Taskbar staying hidden??

why when I try to open a new window of IExplorer from RKlauncher dosen't do it?

-- I have a P4 2.4 Ghz-- 1Gb DDR and ati video card, the genie effect is not quite fast as should be, and I just install windows Xp Pro.

make sure that u follow the instructions, just roll down to the next thread entry, to make changes to RKLauncher.conf

don't know if others are experiencing this but when i scroll side to side slowly, the animation is choppy. i have a dell 700M with 768MB RAM 1.8Ghz Pentium M.

Guys i am new to this site.. and i feel like this is dumb.. it is late but i am usein object dock on a dual monitor set up.. now when i run RK, it is shaded out, i can't select the mulimonitor support. i tryed to change the congig file but it won't work. and when i run it any time i have anything open in the other window it won't let me use it..

like it is not ther..

anybody care to help?

I tried to use nightly version, but when I click on RK Launcher icon, error always occur. Error message is;

Could not open file C:*******************RKLauncer.conf

C:*******************itemlist.conf

C:*******************exclueded.conf

I can open v0.4, but not nightly. How can I solve this?

Hi guys,

im from Germany and i have found another bug.

the problem i have is, that before i start the application "RK Launcher" my connection with the web works absolutly fine, but after i have started the RK Launcher, i cant connect to the web. i checked this a few times, but no change. looks to me like a bug...

i hope that u can help me out if the problem is no longer a problem.

i just wanted to say that RK Launcher is an amazing tool and i love it, but i cant use it, if my connection doesnt work when rk is started...

i tested with 2 browsers:

1. Opera 9

2. Firefox 1.5

both couldnt connect to the internet after ive started RK Launcher
