[release] Firefox Pinstripe Theme

I put the background file in the jar, is should be called pinstripe.png so we need to get that thing sorted first.

The tabs are almost done, just the bottom tab image needs to be fixed and the website icon (favicon) needs to be removed as in the image.

Looks nice man! It really does!!!! ;)

#112807

Doesn't the favicon appear in the tab on the actual Pinstripe theme as well?

As far as I can tell, the globe icon appears only when the site doesn't have a favicon, or when a new blank tab is opened...and this behavior already seems to be working, right?

Another little bug in the Options dialog. If you go to the Privacy options, the plus signs that used to be to the left of History, Saved Passwords etc. seem to be missing. This also happens in the "Advanced" section.

Anyone else having the problem?

Also, here is a modified browser\pref\Options.png file. The order of the images in the original jar file was wrong (the downloads icon was being used for advanced, and everything else was shifted up by one), so that has been edited.

go here and on his firebird skin page he has an installer

This might be a stupid addition, but I made a proper search bar icon.

This has alpha transparency and was made from scratch. In the drop down list, it now looks fine, even on a blue background.

- Put the image in "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins"

- Rename it to google.png

- Delete google.gif

- Re-launch Firefox

Ash, which css files contain the code to change the bookmarks toolbar and the tabs? I know global\browser.css is involved, and so is tabbox, but I think I'm missing something. Would be helpful if you could point me in the right direction. :)

The tabs are associated with browser.css in global and the bookmarks toolbar is associated with browser.css in browser

Oh and I had to edit globalBindings.xml to make the tabs work properly

I'll start more development on this tomorrow

I Asume u have compactmenu!!

if not try this one, but TAKE a bakup of your firefox folder first, becouse Mine god ****ed, if it get ****ed, then just copy the bakup into your firefox folder, and it shuld work..

Link: http://extensionroom.mozdev.org/more-info/compactmenu

CompactMenu button :

1. Right click and save as PNG the following image sharc-2-8.50.png

2. Close FireFox.

3. Open up the File compact.jar in Winrar. This is located

in C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Phoenix\Profiles\default\xxxxxxxx.slt\chrome\

4. Then go to \skin\classic\compact\, and drop in sharc-2-8.50.png . Hit ok on the dialog.

5. Close Winrar.

6. Open FireFox, and right click the center toolbar and go to Customize,

now add the CompactMenu button where you want.

How turn off the File, Edit, View... Toolbar.

I don't take credit for this one, but I forget who came up with it...

1) Download the following file userchrome.css.

2) Now in Explorer go to C:\Documents and Settings\

user profile\Application Data\Phoenix\Profiles\default\?????????.slt\chrome\.

(Assuming you're running XP.)

3) Copy 'n' Paste userChrome.css into the above directory.

4) Open Phoenix, The File, Edit, View... Toolbar will now be blank.

5) Now right click your button bar and go to Customize, Move all the buttons,

the Address bar, and the Search bar on the button bar to the now top blank bar.

6) Move the Bookmarks Toolbar Items to the area that was previously occupied

by your buttons. I would also recommend adding a Flexible Space to the end

of the Bookmarks Toolbar Items, This will allow you to a right click on the bar and

go to Customize for later modifications.

7) Close the Customize window.

8) Go to the Spider Icon (I really hope you did Tutorial 8 first). Then to View,

Toolbars and uncheck Bookmark Toolbar.

Now you should have two toolbars. One with your buttons, Address bar, and

Search Bar, and the other with your bookmarks.
