The first time this happened for me, I renamed my FireFox profile folder and created a new one. Then everything works again.
Try renaming the folder (without FireFox running) and create a new profile. If that works, then you can try and get back your bookmarks from that saved profile. Hope that helps.

does anyone else have a problem when they install an extension or xpi? Ihad everything looking perfect and I installed the tabbed browsing extentions and the classic theme gets f00bared. not one image loads for the theme and the browser looks like a big white block with all of the menus and buttons appearing as plain text garbled all over. all of my other themes will work when I have the extensions installed...but the pinstripe one doesnt. help!

Hmmm, someone hasn't been reading this thread...
DO NOT install extensions while the pinstripe classic.jar is installed, re-install the ORIGINAL classic.jar, install your extensions, then replace your original classic.jar with your pinstripe classic.jar. This has been stressed over and over in this thread.
This has happened to a lot of users. Why it happens is beyond me. However, if you use an unskinned version of Firefox adding extensions works without any problems.
So this means that you have two options...
1) revert back to the original theme before adding any extensions, or...
2) uninstall Firefox and start from scratch. Download and install all the extensions you wish to use and once you're satisfied, then apply the pinstripe theme.
Either method should work, and you'll probably find that option 2 is your safest bet. I recommend backing up your profile folder first and the Firefox folder, just incase
I'm not sure if this is a problem with the pinstripe theme itself or to do with how firefox handles its themes? The fact that 0.7 themes don't work with 0.8 means that the skinning feature has been changed so this could likely be a side-effect.
Anyone know any more on this?!?
well, sorry, i didnt have ennough time to read 24 pages of posts. anyway, thanks for the help though. so is it possible that i missed a link to the original classic.jar file too? I would have saved the original after i was done customizing in the first place but I was unaware and deleted all the backup once I was satisfied with what I had.
There is no link to the original unless someone wants to post it, but that was one of the things stressed on installation of the pinstripe classic.jar - to save the original one for just such an occassion...So I guess you should backup what you have including your profile folder and re-install FireFox to get the original classic.jar back.
eh, i got a copy from my friend. much easier that way

it's called classic.rar but when you download it rename it ro classic.jar and you're all set.
hi, first off, great theme. does anyone else have this little alignment problem with icons on the address bar? i'm using magi's update 4 and also tbe. If i can get this fixed, it will look perfect. Thanks.
First off I'd like to say bravo to all you that have helped get this skin where it currently is. Magbi9's tutorial was great, and all the threads up to now have really helped me get Firefox finally looking great! One question I have though in regards to the ongoing TabBrowser extension battle... I compared FireFox with the extension on and off, and noticed that the grey background (not the grey *annoying!* 'box' surrounding the tabs, the entire thing) behind the tabs is darker with the extension on than it is when it is off... I guess I should have looked at the Mac version before posting, but is this supposed to look this way, and if not, how would i go about editing the tabbrowser settings (FireFox settings?) to correct this? With winrar, extract the leftcap.png file.
Using MS Powertoys Image Resizer, change the dimensions to fit. Probably 24x24 or something like that.
Replace the file back to where you extracted it from.
Iterate and repeat as necessary for fitting cap.

great, thanks, adding a pixel along the bottom of the leftcap fixed it. I found one last bug in the bookmarks bar. It happens when you click a bookmark on it and it looks like the drop hoverbar drops down a pixel. Keep up the great work!!
For ppl wondering why the tabs part appears darker on some screenshots and lighter on others (mac and such) the answer is: different gamma setting. The images in the classic.jar are the original ones but they might seem lighter on some screenshots cause macs and most graphics creators use a screen gamma of 1.8 while the default pc gamma nowadays is 2.2 wich appears darker. If you have photoshop you can use adobe gamma settings in your control panel to set the desired gamma you want. If you dont have photoshop there are allot of other apps you can google for on the net. I have adjusted mine to a gamma of 1.95 sort of a midlle of 1.8 and 2.2 but leaning more towards the mac gamma

What would happen if I changed my gamma to 1.8? How exactly would it affect my system. And just out of curiosity - is there any reason why the two OS's have a different gamma setting?
I've noticed the gamma settings on my comp but never really bothered looking into them all that much. >.<
So did I, I tried that today & it makes my desktop brighter (i hope this is the right word in english), I had to turn it back to default cause I wasn't able to work that way, maybe it's just that I have to get used to the new settings or my monitor/screen isn't the best to do that with.
I didn't think gamma had much to do with what I was asking, except for the fact that whoever created the graphic for that bg could have possibly had a *brighter* gamma setting, thus making it seem correct on their system, and dark on mine... But who knows.
Is there a way to skin the "All Downloads Finished" popup thing?

Th skin is really nice and all but is there a way to use the classic.jar as a regular skin, not replacing various files. There are other people on this comp and I don't want to mess up their skin settings...
EDIT: The new tab button has seemed to become inactive aswell, anyway to fix this? I cannot open a new tab at all, not through the menu, not through the button and not with the shorcut, ctrl-t.
