Don't forget to remind them to backup their HOME directories before deleting the NeXplorer program folder.
I'm actually not noticing any significant slowdowns in browsing considering how many features have been added.
Minor bug: In the titlebar, NeXplorer displays "Hom" when it's in the HOME directory. This seems to be the only directory for which this happens.

Yeah, right . As far as I know, that's how a roll button in a real finder works.

I forgot to include design guide line files. You didn't have any problem finding out what the new keys in the skin.ini file mean?
well it works fine for me, it just took a long time to load actually, it always takes a long time for me to start up, but the rest of it showed everything works perfectly, but is it suposed to go transparent when unfocused, and go transparenbt when maximized with the green button?

It should go transparent only when it's deactivated (loses focus) . If it goes transparent in other cases something is wrong.
I noticed that it happens sometimes. Just hit alt-tab several times to refocus on the nexplorer and it should become opaque.
first thing i did was respace the icons, and i got this... leaves ghost descriptions from where icons once was.

actually I am having a problem with one part.....
the bottom image seems to big. I had the same problem yesterday with my ave preview skin... but I got it figured out. But I cant figure it out here. What part of the ini covers the bottom image?

Skinning scheme is a little differet than Avepreview.
First of all, Nexplorer has double frames. The first [Frame] Section has the values for the inner frame. The inner frame hosts all the toolbar buttons and directory info. You'd better make the left and right width of the inner frame minimum.
[Outer Frame] section has the values for the caption frame and other outer frames.
Their positions and lengths are determined by the inner window size so you have to set only their widths. The width has to be the real image size including transparent and shadow part, not viewable frame width. For example, top frame and bottom frames width means the image height of the respective png files. The sizes of the 4 corner images should match those of big frames.
You'd better make the bottom border as thin as possible cause it already has a status bar.

You should hit F5 (Refresh) after changing Icon spacing
I just realized that it's not complely independent of windows theme.
I didn't skin the scrollbar yet.
Anyway, it's a start.
Not sure if anyone else gets this bug.
Everything is normal when I use the search function. However, after I switch back to the folders, the icons disappear.

Because you still have search string inside the search box and there's no item matching that searching criterion. You have to clear up the search box.

Yeah, the registry change was all that was needed. I didn't know that the osx finder hid the toolbar. I thought it did the rollup thing.
However, any idea why one splitter will be the size of normal icon in the shortcut bar and the next will just be the height of the splitter? I want to make them both the height of the splitter?
can anyone tell me how to change the icons like in the explorer...?
