Aqua-Soft Forumsyeah i have to agree with mhero ..rateyourmusic is a great sight and has an amazing selection of cd covers - much bigger and clearer than amazon. If such a change could be included in the next version of WCC that would be awesome! 
Winamp CD Case (shows cover in a CD jewel case)
I've got a rough MediaMonkey systat sketched up in the SysTats forum.
WCC Beta 11 Build 128
- New ID3v1 and ID3v2 reader module that fixes some reported bugs
- New Skin Manager (please configure your notifier position and text format again!): the new skin manager includes all settings that envolves the way a skin should be used or the way it was made to be used by the skin's author. So if you see a skin's screenshot and you download it, it will be really close to it (unless you don't have the same font used...).
- Skin Manager: WCC will search first for a "preview.png" to show as a skin's preview, then for the "case.png".
- Progress bar added (see Skin Manager)
- Transparency added (see Options)
- Read ID3 track number when exists
- %year% added to text format (see Skin Manager)
- Some code improvements
- Some bugs fixed

Okay, this is the situation. I have ALL my music in the same folder, only 2 or 3 subfolders with full albums in them. I want WCC to download the covers to a separate folder, because otherwise I'd end up with a lot of images in the same folder with my songs. I have set a "Covers' Folder" (in Options -> Read Cover) but WCC still saves the covers to the folder where my music is.
How can I fix this?

You have to add "Cover's folder"! You've added just "Artist - Album.jpg"!

Oh... That's... Confusing.
On the tab it says "Read cover" and on the frame "Read cover from", and I assumed that only affected how the program READ the covers, not how it saved them. =/

Is there a chance you can port this to AveDesk? 
Could you maybe add an option to hide the notification when Winamp is not running?
Also, it would be awesome if you could enter the size of the notifier in pixels, instead of only 1x, 2x or 3x the jewel case...

I loved this app... but some covers shows, others don´t, and i just guess why since the files are almost the same (all my folder is on ID3V2 TAG.

WCC can read just some ID3v2 cover.
There isn't just a way to record a cover in an ID3v2 tag. That's why WCC reads just some of them...
I know I'm REALLY late replying here, but Ihave a problem. You see, I was playing Lindsay Lohan's latest and the cover would not show up, so i dragged the image into the case. It worked. Now, I go toplay a totally new song from someone else and the Lindsay cover remains. It doesn't automatically download the cover & when I search the cover, the same Lindsay one is there. HELP!
OH WAIT! I played something else & a new cover came up! Maybe I had the wrong settings. Why did that problem occur? Thanks though!
NEVERMIND, AGAIN! LOL! It only shows the pic if a pic is inside the folder with the album.
There is anyway to batch all pictures from ID3Tag v2 and put on the folder with folder.jpg name? I have Tag&Rename... but besides being an amazing app to organize MP3, its don´t do this.
I really like this app, because i prefer winamp to itunes.
Also it works very well.
The only two things i would like Carlos to consider in the next releases are the following:
- wcd should not load the last played cover ( if i close winamp and then launch it again, it retains the last cover showed)
- the font for the notifier look a bit ugly in certain conditions and the tweak for the offset color makes it a bit complex workaround.

Regarding the notifier's font: try NOT to use bold to get better results; the offset color: try one to match the wallpaper...
Tested and working neatly. Is it going to be possible to configure it as AveTunes? or maybe be able to import skins from Avetunes?

Avetunes skins are not in the plans, however with a few pngs you can make your own skin (or adapt to WCC).

In fact, I had already made the animation procedure (to show/hide playback buttons) but I didn't have time to implement it in the main program.
@Carlos, well, I do not know if it possible for the fonts in Winamp Cd Case (WCC) to look like in Avetunes, i.e. not too sharp and more antialiased.
And features from Avetunes into WCC, well I dont know, seems like the functional and useful stuff is all I really need... so it is up to you for instance I never use the "rating" neither on tiger nor windows, or any indication of the gender of a song. Maybe showing "things" when the mouse is over the cd case.

Animated Skins like FlipTunes or SpiriTunes.
Show/Hide Playback buttons (already done).
Rotation and maybe some script effects.
Basically just some EyeCandy to the app. :cool:

Search string depends on ID3 tag.
However, you can be prompted before the search so you can confirm or change the search string. Just go to "Options>Download" and check Prompt before download...
