Hi Raduking...
Can you add "DockBar Group" (Like windows taskbar grouping but it must be support it icon or default window thumbinal image) options into your RK Dock?

I just noticed something that's happening with the magnification. I have the following settings:
magnifySize = 128
smallSize = 32
itemDistance = 0
magnification = 1
itemsMagnify = 3
When moving the mouse pointer quickly over the dock, the mag is apparently very smooth. However, slow mousing has the following effect: When the pointer is approximately 1/3 (horizontal, either side) into an icon, the icon which is at the "end" of the mag effect suddenly pops back into its "smallSize" without any transition. A similar thing happens to the icons which are immediately to the left and right of the icon under the pointer. When the pointer is within the middle third of an icon, the icons before and after it grow and shrink as expected, but as soon as the pointer enters the first third or the last third of the icon under it, the ones to the left and right seem to jump down a level of magnification. This is all assuming that the dock is placed at the bottom of the desktop, and mousing is in a horizontal direction.
You're right again DTOXX
i know about that
the algorithm seems to work fine only with 7 and 5 items magnified because when I implemented it i tried it out with those 2 versions
i never expected someone would use the 3 or even less version.
but the first alpha release will probably have that fixed also ![]()
You are seriously doing a great job, raduking. And it's encouraging that you're so open to comments from the community. This is going to be an OD killer ![]()
Nicely done! Can't wait for the first release!
I vote to implement Sid's idea and use RocKet Launcher for the name. RK Launcher doesn't seem to flow very well to me.
EDIT: Or maybe RKL (if not, it could be used as the abbreviation.)

Yes we should also make icons, build a website and advertise it on WinCustomize.... oh wait its not even an alpha yet :mad:
I'm in a big need of a windows hook expert.
I don't know how to redirect the global WM_NCHITTEST message to my own window. I succeeded with all other mouse messages but not this one.
I would very much appreciate it if I got an answer to that... thanx.
raduking, would something like this help you?
UINT uHitTest;
...
case WM_NCHITTEST:
uHitTest = DefWindowProc(hwnd, WM_NCHITTEST, wParam, lParam);
if(uHitTest == HTCLIENT)
return HTCAPTION;
else
return uHitTest;
I am not clear what you are asking...specify more, and I can be more help :-)
it's not that... I will contact you on yahoo messenger ![]()
I just downloaded your preview, and I like where this is going. I didn't read through the last 10 pages, so most of things I would say have most likely been said. But keep at it. I'm still using that dock that you can no longer get, and will only give it up for something better, so make me proud.
So anybody has an ideea about what default icon set should I use ?
I'd like something nicer though...
I could maybe wip up 4-5 icons by this friday. That should be enough I think for an initial launch. ![]()
how about mac os 8 or even older ones? the really old school icons. apple won't be bothering you then. ![]()
consider linux icons from kde.
Good idea Duckie! I'd love to see mub icons in RL too. I think that there won't be any problems with getting permissions for them.
You can use GANT if you want ![]()
Yes..GANT!!! How could we forgot!
make it work on 9x
What a nonsense - go get yourself a contemporary operating system instead of demanding this.make it work on 9x
