Awesome... I made the translation to german its working well, but some bugs need to be repaired. Like the trayicon cuz when i "hide/show" it hangs, dont know why but i need to terminate the program with taskmanager. Besides that its a great idea, just what i was looking for, keep it up!

Good, In the following version I'll move all text strings from the program in separate section of ini-file; then it will be possible to translate Finderbar to other language completely (and correct my bad english). I could make it itself, but I have not screenshots of original german menu of Macs Finder.

uhm... thnx for nothing man, i dindt do anything at all, you made the whole thing, and im just happy 'bout it, i love you work man I made the translation to german cuz my OS is in german, but i am not german, so i guess its not that well translated (my mother language is spanish by the way).

Srry i havent commented on this little app as soon as i should have. After trying many finder bar clones ( all never worked or wrecked my system in some way or other) i came across this WOW absolutely Fantastic really easy to install by following your very good help/web page. Tweakable for as much as i need and works with a fully update service pack2 xp system . Im using 0.98 Se/ 06..01.2005 verison and noticed u have a new verison do i install over the top of old verison or have to uninstall old one first. Anyway GREAT work my friend keep it up

Stop Finderbar 0.98

Rename your old Finderbars 0.98 insall folder as "Finderbar SE Bak"

Install new 0.99 version in folder "Finderbar SE"

Copy your old file menu.ini from old folder to new folder (replace new file menu.ini)

Compare two files Finderbar_Engine.ini from old and from new folders; add all new strings from new file to old file. Save old file. Replace new file with old.

New install 2 modded fonts Lucida Grande and Lucida Grande Bold from Finderbar folder "Fonts"

Start Finderbar 0.99

Possibly, I have not completely understood your inquiry - what exactly is not realized in last release? I cannot insert the powerful search engine into my simple program. But I enable to start such engine, for example, Google Desctop Search, clicking any area onto Taskbar. But for this purpose it is necessary to create the new menu with a word *LAUNCH* in a name of the menu, to add one menu item with shortcut to this search application, to appoint " hot area " with the necessary coordinates (most right on Taskbar) and to start this program pressing a symbol of a magnifier. It already works. It is not ON by default, it is necessary to ON it simply.

Possibly, I badly explain. Add a piece of a code which is in my previous message, in your file menu.ini, start the program anew and you receive that I have in view of.

If it will not work, I shall be glad to help you.

BottomPanel doesn't seem to work... I created the bar with "BottomPanel" (nospace) and I try to hide it but it doesn't hide it.

well, bottompanel works for me but when i restart computer, it's not working again.. i have to:

uncheck "always on top" of the toolbar, "float" the toolbar, make it dock to the bottom screen again, check "always on top", then at the finderbar "view" -> "show view option" -> uncheck "bottompanel" , check "bottompanel" -> "Apply"

for it to work again... everytime i start windows...

so i think if it's too much of a hassle.. any other program that can create space at bottom of desktop?

by the way, the thing you added its quite good, simple though but i think its ok, it replaces the "ctrl+f" of the opend application isnt it?, what i want, is to opend directly the app of the link; but as said, its not released yet... so ill stay with ur ctrl+f mode thnx

another thing, your font mods are kinda buggy, i dont know why now my tabs (for example when oppening the computer properties or something with tabs,) are odd (big and ocuping too much space) now, i dont know now, but when i installed the Flyakite2 it installed the normal fonts for lucida grande and the kewl mac characters for the menus on the bar were gone, but i noticed that the tabs were fixed too, and then i replaced the lucida grande modd that you put in ur app and the tabs are rare again :confused:

It is strange. At me on the screen everything is all right. :confused: However, you have given me idea - I should rename my modified font, let it will be Lucida_Finderbar.ttf

You must set UseClock=1 in section [MacClock] in file Finderbar_Engine.ini

Or with help of Menu Editor: checkbox "Use Clock" on the tab "Options", and press OK

Note, that at Finderbars start short delay with MacClock start is possibly.

hi guys...

first i'd like to say that this app is great but..there is always a BUT...

since i installed it, and updated it, i can't switch apps from my taskbar anymore cause they don't show up, i tried locking, unlocking, resize and so on but no success, the apps runnning only show when i alt-tab them

does anybody know how to "reset" taskbar setting or something? cause alt-tab is quite boring...
