sorry for the "skin-question", i am stupid :-)....
But now I have a real problem. I experimented a while with Stardock objectbar 1.65, with the result, that i don´t like it. I deinstalled it. But now, your Finderbar doesn´t show up at all, even though the engine is running, the same with "MacClock".
Do you know, if "Objectbar" makes any changes, so that the "Finderbar" doesn´t work right anymore?
Even a XP-Update had no effect.
I searched this thread and found your advise to "right-click" the taskbar and to make an new "toolbar" with "about:Finderbar". The taskbar shows "Keine Seite zum Anzeigen"!
Any ideas?

The tip with "about:Finderbar" is too old and not usable with actual version 1.5 anyway.
Try to restore Windows state older as the date of Object Bars installation. I don't know which changes makes OB by installation, sorry.

thanx for your replay.
I found the problem, there was a Process left from Objectbar called TrayServer.exe, after canceling this process, the Finderbar and the MacClock work perfectly again.
For those who may have the same problem, you have to delete this item in the Startup of Windows (not Autostart!) too.

I have a problem with this program, when I click findebar_engine.exe it does not show the font buttons like what is shown in the screenshots, I just see a blank bar like this

Probably the Finderbars window (main menu bar) is located incorrectly. Try to make your taskbar greater (half of the screen, it is possible), are you see the bar now?

I recently discover macsearh, macclock and so on and all work great,the only one who doesn't want to run well it's Findebar 1.5
I use Windows Xp sp2 in french, so i modifie finderbar.ini with :
TaskPanelLocalName=Applications en cours d'exécution
but i got a probleme, i attached a screen shot to show the problem. Is there a solution ?

Finderbar looks awesome, but in the instructions I can't scroll down, so I follow all of the instructions that I can see, then when I open it it doesn't work properly.

Delete two background files in Finderbar's folder and try to create new with right click and "Skin it!"

The Finderbar is not skinnable with themes. It uses msstyles.

I just tried installing FinderBar v1.5 and got nothing. All that I can see is that I can no longer see my programs visible in the task bar but otherwise there is no menus etc or anything!
Can someone please help! I have been running StyleXP and a couple of other emulating related software to create the Mac OS X feel ... if there are any known clashes could you let me know

You can add only schortcuts to folders.

Yes. Make your Quick Launch toolbar visible, make it longer as Finderbars window and deaktivate "Hide Taskbar" in "View Options"

Yes, activate "Not Use Hotkeys" in preferences.

The Finderbar can not make screenshots, I think. Make this two files manually (see info abowe) and restart the prog.

A couple of questions --
1. Can the Apple logo be changed to something else?
2. I've created a menu item 'dock' with 2 submenu entries - 'default dock' and 'create new dock'. 'Create new dock' launches a blank instance of RK launcher via 'customapptolaunch'. My question is -- is it possible to have the 'default dock' entry display as checked when the primary instance of RKLauncher is active? I understand 'checked not active'... but how can i get finderbar to detect if the instance is running and check it on the menu if it is? Better yet... to toggle the dock via the menu?

my finderbar 1.5 doesn't load with Windows. is it not supposed to load with Windows? I always ending up in opening it through the start menu.

The simplest is to edit the background.png in the Finderbar main folder.
