but there is a tiny bug, i click the close in the search bar after i finish my search, nothing happens(it does not return to the original destination as it does in the previous release).
Ok, this is to check how initialization process goes for those who have the long startup time problem.
Please download only if you have long (~1min or so) startup time with the new 1.865 version .
Please report to me the displayed time for each step. I need your help to fix this problem.
(The problem may happen even before this initialization process but I can find it out with this .)

For me it takes 20 , 450, 250, and 0 miliseconds respectively.
vneumann, nope still takes forever to load, harddrive goes nuts and need to reboot.

first number was 31... but then nothing else happens
I tried it again and the first message was 109. Then nothing again.

Huh....i have to get hurry in this skin! i start design this without hurry about 5 days ago....but these few days is have not so nice....big stress.

A few problems though... there is no up button, and your search bar/search bar edit is not lined up in your skin.ini.
@ those with the long startup problem:
Do you guys start Nexplorer with commandline parameter?
I think I almost know what causes the problem.
I start it with command line parameter to start in a certain drive but it doesn't take long to load here.
I do not start it with the command line parameter always...
I have it configured to replace nexplorer and I open from object dock
Thank you vneumman I didnt had problems with speed, but it fixed my Search bar ( I had a red tile)
i dunno if anyone noticed this but since 1.8 version NexPlorer can`t be minimized via the taskbar. When NexPlorer is in focus and clicked in taskbar it should minimize but it just goes out of focus without minimizing which is kind of annoying >.
Vneumman could you release another hacked version but with normal startup?? Since the hacked version fixed the Search Bar (IT had a Red Tile in it) and starting the up everytime with it displaying the times can get a little.... inconviniente

In original Mac OS X 10.3 Finder is no up button. I dont know where people has invent that Up Button? To me its not useful (maybe Apple has think same way that me). So i make empty png images to Up Button.
I check from my aluminium PowerBook in in downstairs and what was result?
I can't even find Up Button in Finder's "Customize Toolbar" menu where is some other extra button. Have you ever use Mac OS X?

You don't have to get the hacked version for red tile problem.
Just redownload 1.86. I think I put the fixed one there.

I have used mac osx... However, I use the up button all the time... Maybe we could get a path button instead vnuemman.

Agreed, speed and stabilty should take priority over the implementation of every last feature, though I too am insatiably greedy for feature updates! Incidentally, though Windows XP and Linux are far from awful, one thing that everyone notices when moving over to even the cheapest of Macs is the speed at which Finder, etc, work, and also all of the blissfully pleasing animations. :woot:
Snapz Pro make Screenshot and Videos. Videos can be saved without any compression or compress it in any QuickTime codec. I have few uncomppressed video (altogether about 3 min -> 500MB) and one very long compressed video (search bar behaviour video -> 4min -> 10MB).
If i remember right, vnuemman ask some videos to see how search bar behaviour. So look video from here (4min -> 10MB).

hey vneumann, Have a bug For You!!!
when i want to assign a label to a "file" called "Nexplorer" it assign the same Label (even if i have not selected this another file) to the another file no metter if it is not the same type....
Example:
i have Nexplorer.reg , nexplorer.txt and ofcourse NeXplorer.exe , well. when i do what i said before, cuz i want to assign to "NeXplorer.exe" the blue Label, it just puts the label to every single file not only to the one i want :S

I got a bug... or a problem...
Since i´ve downloaded the upgrad, i can drag&drop files into folder... i got a message that said "Same Windows", instead of the menu to Move here, Copy here and everything.
Anyway... hail to the vnewman baby... NeXplorer is a fantastic app and a can´t live without anymmore.
