[link] PearPC - Os X On X86?

Im hoping this will shake Apple up to release the x86 OSX... they have been sitting on a versions of Mac that run on x86 machines for ages. They have a fully working copy of Panther that would run on a non-Mac PC the name of which escapes me at the moment. You can bet it wont be seen for a long time if at all. Its Apples backup plan if thier hardware department falls again, if relationships with MS turn sour or if MS go ahead with thier idea of an OS based entirely on DRM which will see most users who have had enough of DRM, Spyware, Policeware and licensing etc etc turn to another alternative enter OSX

But hey an open source emulator if we all add what we can to this project the progress will speed along and we'll have a decent OSX emulator in no-time.... maybe even become top priority among AS, AquaXP etc with everyone working together to bring this up to VPC standards :smartass:

I've found where PearPC is partially illegal - In OS X's user agreement, it states that it may only be run on Apple harware.

this program does look very interesting. over at neowin.net its getting a fair bit of interest and atleast one person there has managed to get into the desktop. looks nice

the 3-6gb files are null file tarred, it is about 5or 6k, so you can download also with a 56k modem.when uncompressed you will have a file of 3 or 6gb full of zero.

slax assuming its a linux distro... and kde meaning your desktop enviornment ontop of linux. Then yes. This application is not GUI enviornment dependent.. you do not need KDE to run this.. as long as you have X the libraries and what not it wil lwokr even on gnome...
