yeah got the same error message at first. you need to downoad the version of this site:
[link] PearPC - Os X On X86?
thx. i tried that but there was a 404. it works now.
hmmm funny... idownloaded the 10.3.4 update and it's been withthe progress bar full and "14 minutes" remaining for some good half an hour now :\
dang... not everything could be perfect ![]()
IT SEEMS that the developers are looking into some sort of native driver for OSX (seems that the current one is borrowed from another project - not osx native :S). i sure hope they do get some hardware accel there. (i dont think translating OpenGL to OpenGL would be THAT hard. may take some time and work. but pretty much the calls are the same right?
information:

im getting the same error as thebigB. i dl the version on the site, and i have a new network thats unpluged. but its not working.
also it seems when i turn internet to sharing my internet closes and dosn't work.
using a cable modum.
redownload from the site. btw i can't use networking. it is "plugged in" but it doesn't work.
dang.... sooooo my install got screwed upon attempting a 10.3.4 install
(via the combine package). bah.... reinstalling Panther....
That's why I make a backup of the 3gb hard drive image so I never have to go through that again.. I update it every couple days to another folder, a good idea for anyone running pearpc.
Would it be too hard to make a PIII optimized version? or it will work just as the "Standard (non-CPU optimized)" one?
In case no one noticed:
ppc_start_resolution = 14
will give you a 1280x1024x32 resolution.
Works best with the fullscreen patch.

Hi Zone, I have a Pentium III too. My best version is the FullScreen with F5, with or not with network
Hey Xan, what are the times that you got for the installation? I have a PIII 500, 250MHz less than yours, and I would like to see if this can work for me.
something i noticed when i got the network friendly version of windows. in the config the highest res u could choose was like 600X800 (not sure, at work). would i still be able to set it higher?
and i noticed a p4 accellerated verion at nightly builds. would i beable to use that with the network version for windows?
I can't get past the second step: share the connection, because when I right click on my connection>properties, nothing happens >.
[/edit]
when i share the connection pearpc can't go online.
I can't find the Fullscreen patch! I downloaded the lastest version there from the site and I dont get the fullscreen... I am trying to set up networking now.
I got a problem trying to install the network... When I got to share my connection it tells me this:
An error occured while Internet Connection Sharing was enabled.
The dependency service or group failed to start.

Please dont bump so soon after your first post and try not to do it at all <_<
go to the official page - www.PearPC.net
all the information you need is there... Networking works perfectly the latest version (0.1.2) does not come with the patch you need to patch you PCC to the nightly build mod with fullscreen and network....
I posted this thursday night and no one replied since. My question is where can I get the fullscreen patch? and now, I can't even share my internet connection no more... I dont get it.

On the link I gave you there is a big title that says 'Networking on Windows!'
follow the link - http://www.kelley.ca/pearpc
Theres the mod
just above that it also says 'Tutorial for Networking on Windows'
http://dev.realistanew.com/win32net/
Follow that tutorial and you'll be fine!
hope it helps.....
dont forget to set the config to you windows resolution and hit F5 for fullscreen!
My dad has a Panther CD at his work but he is in new york right now...I guess I will just have to wait!
i can ping pearpc and the tap driver but i can't use them.
well for me now that the novelty wore off I will sit on this patiently waiting for two things..
1.) sound
2.) speed
This will happen one of two ways
1.) PearPC gets more developed
2.) I buy a mac
I love this dont get me wrong but I can load 20 pages in xp before safari opens..
Its a good resource for themers.. but to use it by itself its a chore. Im not complaining I just dont think the networking and installing programs is worth it unless you dont care about speed. At first I didnt but now I do..
Welcome back XP I missed you ![]()
