I don't know if this has come up before but I'd like to see the bounce effect for getting your attention when you receive for example a new message in Messenger when it's minimized to the dock.
How about feature that makes the dock icons black and white but when u put the mouse over the specific icon and it turns to color.

i don't not if U already discussed it....
i have a folder in the dock and if i click on it so comes up a normal window and shows me the content.
but i want to hold the mouse button and it should come up a 'list' with its contents (like the win start menu) --> like yzdock or the real mac dock.

Yeah, the feature of dropping into the trashbin has been asked... since the begining I think. Let us hope once the new version is up an running, with its genie effect, RK could add that feature soon!
I'm surprised nobody's said this yet: for an application to bounce until it becomes active.
@Sujaan: actually, if you read through the 15 pages of this thread, you'll find quite a few people have requested that. But, I don't blame you for not reading them......
I don't know if this has been suggested before, but I have always hoped for a "float" ability. That docks don't have to be literally docked to a corner, but to be like say draggable around the desktop with say, a lock feature that will make it undraggable if set.
I would like to have a search field in the "Custom Icon" Panel, because I usually put a lot of png files into the same folder, and the simple browse isn't quite enough. A search field located on the upper left corner of the "Choose an icon" window seems to be reasonable and more aqua-ish.
If the search function has a spotlight-like effect(just like the search in the AveIconBook) would be perfect.
I don't know if it is possible(AndreasV would give the permission and help to port his code, and raduking would have extra free hours to implement this other than the most anticipated "genie effect".)
I posted it in Bug Report thread yesterday.
