iChat bubbles in Miranda!

ok, I have an new idea, make the stuff I made in avedesk in Windowsblinds instead, I'm not sure it will work though, becouse Miranda uses a wierd titlebar, but I'l see what I can do... maby someone else can try it... but then the messenger window will look ****ed up, maby.. is it possibel to resize the titlebar thing miranda contactlist uses? well, umm, we'll see....

I meant turn off toolwindow titlebar to not use it. With a normal titlebar you should be able to do the same thing with the contact list as you do with the message window. I was sure you already did this? I never use toolwindow titlebar (as toolwindows look so bad to me in windows it's kind of shamefull).

As a matter of fact if you wanted you could also put a bg in the window set it to stretch only horizontally and make it look like brushed metal with a shine is going through the whole contact list (which wouldn't look exactly like ichat but I still think that looks nice). I was thinking of doing that tonight.

I know it was that u ment, but if we edit the titlebar, the message window will look ****ed up, so if we could edit the toolwindow titlebar instead, and make it look iChat style, then the messenger window wont look ****ed up, I dont think it will work though, hehe...

and I know I can do the brushed effect, but thats not what I want, we are trying to make a 1:1 looking ichat skin for miranda..

I just want to give my upmost thanks to Pe8er and Magnus for there time and effort. This works wonderfully. A dream come true. One quick question as I am a new convert to Miranda how do I get the emoticons to show up in the chat bubbles, all I get is the text. For example if I click the basic smiley I litterally get the text equivelant in the chat bubble i.e. . Thanks again and thanks in advance for any tips or guidance.

if you use ieview.. you gotta select under the plugin. options -> ieview plugin -> emoticons then select or download new emoticons from miranda emoticons i recommend ami smileys.. or get the one magnus released. all are good but they need to be asl format for them to show without the black background.

First off i have to say this is absolutely great! Amazing work here Pe8er!! I've read the whole thread and have everything working perfectly except the fact that i can't get assinged avatars for buddies to show up! I followed your steps here:

You have to create 'avatars' folder in mirandacss and put 56x56 jpgs named exactly after your contact's names there. So like if you have Pe8er on your list, call it Pe8er.jpg. If pe8er - pe8er.jpg. If Booty whacky ding^zomoF457 - call it Booty whacky ding^zomoF457.jpg

Default avatar (if contact doesnt have one) - you.png Your avatar - me.png.

i put a 56 X56 jpg in the avatars folder , that is named with my contacts exact name... but it just wont show in the message window. Am i missing something here? I would appreciate any help! Thanks guys

EDIT: nevermind!!!!!!!!!!! i figured it out ! it requires you to edit the CSS file ..thanks anyway ... pe8er and magnus for the wonderful work!

thats IE, remeber IE doesn't show png transprancy well.

best way is probery to make the png's background the same colour as the background colour.

Now my question: I don't seem to get my avatars separated like in this picture from NC. My avatars are aligned together. I'd like to have that little space between them. How do I do that? What did I do wrong?

We basically need to convert what he have currently - bubbles done with tabs - to bubbles done with divs. From what I've heard divs provide more possibilites and is more elegant.
