finally got it to work oh my lord but my avatar wont change when im typing I choose the one I wanted to use in networking msn i activated it its not showing. Im using someones files from here he sent me I forgot about I just run it from my desktop and there I go thanks everyone
i just notice his file ieview is 1.0.1.6 not the lastest but im scared to change it. should I use the wassup plugin in to update it?
Edit my avatar now works but a png file has no background why does it in the chat window? on to the smilies not sure how to put them in there but I have them activated
finnaly worked.... cool as hell.. great work ever.
Long before any of this happened.... I was (and still) have smilies set up that replace someone's username with a picture (avatar) of them.
So for instance; "anna:" would get replaced with a picture of anna, but the word "anna" would not be replaced (it had to have a : at the end).
Now I really want to use this (obviously with real iChat bubbles) but I just have one question.... When it comes to avatar support - is it possible for us to manually assign a picture to someone?!? I prefer using photos I have of people rather than whatever avatar they decide to use...
This is what we got so far as far as original iChat bubbles are concerned. It's not final, official release - thats why there is no readme/tutorial yet. Pichfl gave up, rest of the team is too stupid to find a way to fix these damn avatars. Check it for yourself and if you find a way to fix it, let us know!

@Xalcore - right click username on your list > user info > photo tab
how do you add the smiles in to conversation and for some reason my timestamp doesnt show this is very tight using it now with albook
to show date, time etc go to ieviw options and clic show date, time.
to add smilies add a smilie pack for ieview, go to miranda.im.org
I have that checked I see nothing
I have smilies added can you use more than 1 pack at a time? I want to use the animated ones plus some from another pack I downloaded

Ahh!!! Thanks - I was curious as to whether it used that or if it got them directly over the msn protocol from the other chat user....
That's brill! Gonna start usin it now. ![]()
I think that noone noticed that, but I linked you to default iChat bubble template...
hehe, pe8er, nice idea *g*
this template has 1 BIG reason for use:
you can choose the bubble-color by editing 2 line in the .ivt file - easy and quick. (open the ivt in any editor, change the two marked lines, save, close and load in miranda)
one against: avatars dont align to bottom :-/ I hope someone can figure out a way to do.
^^ @pichfl: i thought i alligned them to bottom? or did that not work? :S
it didnt work.
I was wondering why my smilies have a black background on my bubbles? looking at other screen shots they dont seem to have this.
Well, I just spent a good hour or so trying to align those avatars to bottom with no success whatsoever.
Sorry guys, I tried.
@cerebral: I tried it 7 days, 2 hours a day.
u see - we need a CSS-god (and one, who knows everything about IE)
how about getting help from satin and smoothoperator's porter?? ![]()
@pichfl: Yeah, I was pretty sure you'd worked on it far longer than I did, but I still gave it a shot nonetheless.
I think the problem is that it doesn't honor "bottom:" or "vertical-align:" properties when you're using float. If there's some way to recreate the layout without floating things left or right, that might be another path to look down.
Also, as for our "css god",
I think I found another solution. With a little bit luck, tomorrow I can present you a full working iChat-template with avatars at the bottom & grouping, completly solved with divs.
But tonight it's partytime
He said that 6 days ago.. and that's the last post he's made on the board.
Point of note: his sample code (a few pages back) didn't have floats; maybe that's how he got it working?
@pichfl---We can always use our last ditch solution...I don't think anyone suffers at all, because the actual code is still in
-NC
well can i ask a question? why did we switch away from tables completely? unless your running a 10MHz processor, tables arent gonna slow ur comp or its rendering of the chatting down...
so could we not combine it? sorry if that was a stupid idea... but hey it was an idea ![]()
well i can't say i know CSS or IE very well... but if you even *think* you could give it a try, i'd suggest getting TopStyle... its a CSS editor (can do html, php and all kinda of other stuff too) and has builtin, live preview... just load the template.html page into the preview... and CSS away ![]()
that's how i tried to make it work... but i just don't know enuf... yet ¬_¬ :slant:
hmmm - I didnt try that - lemme see...
//could take some time since I didnt used tables for ages.
looks like you guys need some help heh
..i've been contacted by Magnus WIld and have downloaded the iChat template. Will get back to you guys if I get it working (the only problem is bottom alignment of the avatar right?)
i'm talking to magnus wild now, and he told me you guys insisted on using DIVs. why?
EDIT: weird, i cant seem to find the css for the classes avatar-wrapper and left-avatar-wrapper. right-avatar-wrapper only has brackets and no attributes :slant:. would you guys mind if i used tables to fix it? ![]()
