iChat bubbles in Miranda!

@Shivan: i've just downloaded the latest build of IEview and Tabsrmm and something strange's happening with miranda. Everytime I start miranda, I got an error message "Iconpack: unknown version, load anyway?" and my Yahoo account isn't automatically connected, I have to connect to Yahoo manually.

Any idea? THanks in advance dude

same happens to me. my idea is that newer versions of tabsrmm require additional icons which aren't included in most custom icon packs. you can disable iconpack version checking on startup somewhere in tabsrmm settings, but we should let the developer clear that up for us :)

#266291

You will get that message unless the icon pack is fully updated for the current version.

#266315

I just roll back to 0.9.8 and everything's fine now, no error message, no problems with yahoo anymore :slant: :slant:

edit: I found a bug with ieview, well I'm not sure if it is a bug. It seems to me that IEview doesn't want to remember smiley settings :( I have to re-apply smiley packages for protocols everytime Miranda is restarted   Anyone got that problem?

Very bad idea. This version is not fully compatible with the latest IEView.

The icon pack error is not a bug, actually. The version check was introduced to prevent people from loading old icon packs. To fix it, you may either use one of the icon packs provided in the tabSRMM archive or disable the version check if you need to use an old icon pack which does not provide the version information.

Make sure that you don't have old icon packs in the search path. tabSRMM searches for tabsrmm_icons.dll in both plugins and icons and if you have manually set an icon pack on the options page, it searches there aswell.

The yahoo connection issue is unrelated to this. Maybe, you're just waiting too long to click the Ok button in the dialog.

You can also disable the icon pack version check on the "tabs and layout" option page (just where you can set the path for a custom icon pack).

The first release of IEView 1.0.1.10 was buggy and some hours later the_leech uploaded the good one but I couldnt get it because all I get is a time out when I try to access his site.

EDIT:

Site up again

here's my version information for miranda:

I think u need to get Miranda IM 0.4RC

ZIP or Installer

#268672

I've just downloaded it from the link you provided and I'm still having the same problem. I've also found that the multiwindow plugin doesn't work with 0.4RC (I used it to move the protocol status indicators to the top instead of having them at the bottom - but I can live without it) and for some reason windowblinds is unable to skin the top titlebar of miranda (yet manages to on all chat windows).

Update: I've found that wb will skin the title bar, but you have to go to the options window and under 'contact list -> window' change the titlebar to a tool style main window and then change it back, THEN it gets skinned. But won't be skinned if miranda is restarted. :(

#268700

What veersion of TweakUI are you using, if any?

#268703

What veersion of TweakUI are you using, if any?
Version 2.10.0.0

For Windows XP (SP1 and higher) and Windows Server 2003

#268719

Try to downgrade, that's worked for me before concerning problems like these. Sorry I can't provide you with a link.

#268724

downgrade TweakUI?

Also... do you know what it is about TweakUI then that would be causing this?!?

#268730

you shouldnt use smiley add with ieview and update your tabsrmm

#268771

@XalCore there is not tweakui 2 nor is there a 1 its still at 0.4 beta. i believe you are confused which tweakui we are taking about. well its miranda's tweakui :P

#268780

Vague is talking about a miranda plugin by the name TweakUI, not the windows powertoy. by the looks of your VersionInformation report, you're not using it. it's the plugin used to remove the contact list window border.

your problem is probably caused by the old miranda build you're using. upgrade to the newest one, here's the link: http://blog.miranda-im.org/

#268852

you shouldnt use smiley add with ieview and update your tabsrmm

Actually, he can. In new versions of IEView and tabSRMM, smileyadd doesn't interfere with any IEView related things anymore. Smileyadd is still required to see smileys with the default message log included in tabSRMM. When using IEView, it simply does nothing

.

#268876

Okay.... I somehow fixed the bubbles part of it....

I disabled tabsrmm and went back to srmm and restarted. Disabled smiley add, re-enabled tabsrmm and restarted and voila - it works. So might actually have been a problem with smileyadd?!?

I'm still having the problem where windowblinds is having difficulty showing the top toolbar and (another bug I forgot to mention earlier) sometimes when I load up miranda it isn't actually visible - Thanks to objectbar I can still use the menu to enter the options screen and change a setting and revert back under the "window" section.

Any ideas?

#269298

Also... I like to set my own avatars for people using the change image function in user details... how do I go about stopping it getting updated with the users own avatar?!?

Edit: I've found that it's started happening to Adobe Photoshop too. In both apps the main titlebar doesn't get skinned, but any child windows do. Could this actually be a wb issue?!?

#269311

I'm sure the Miranda community would be interested in this. Would the authors post it in the "themes" section on the Miranda site?

#269995

Well, there are already templates posted under the IEview section.

#269997

Harumph... expected it to show up here:

http://www.miranda-im.org/download/index.p...n=display&id=83

which says it lists all IEView templates, but I don't see iChat there. Were you referring to a differrent place?

#270255

oh no, i meant that there are different ones there. Posting it there is the job of the creaters. hehe
