ugg... the udate makes everything crazy... i dunno. I cant post a screen shot right now.... but I am definitely getting errors.
[release] Looca
i think i figured it out.. the options.ini is the wrong file..
it is linking to places that dont exist on our computers which is causing big problems... i am trying to fix this now...
downloas this and put it in your looca file.. then try it...
this fixed everything.. but the skin is just gray now...
hmm.
I tried using the old exe from the original with the new ini file that I just posted.. and it seems to work perfectly...
Originally posted by dede@Apr 5 2004, 10:37 AMi can't see the eject button....
when i try to push yes, the program don't save my configuration
change the option to "true" in the options.ini
One more thing...
the new exe file is what is causing the problem with the skin I think..
however... it does ad the functionality of making looca open to a certain directory.
Create a shortcut like "c:\program files\looca\looca.exe" d:
then looca will open to d:
This is an awesome feature...
now lets just figure out the skin problem!
i am looking around now..
thanks for the nice finder!
thanks im loving it.. I hated to do it but had to delete xplore to use this one full time now..
great job..

Tig4
hmm....
I nearly forgot: When you right-click on the trash icon you can empty your recycle bin.
Getting better and better
a few pointers...
your new files info on the bottom has issues:
1. It see's hidden files
2. It doesnt recognize folders as items
3. it lists my free space as 3.1334897634 GB (should be 3.13)
now for the skinning:
I wil create a perfect panther theme if you can allow button placement in the skin.ini and change to PNG images
@Duckie:
You can hide the hidden files by setting 'Hiddenfiles' in the options .ini to 'false'.
The statusbar is not finished yet, so this issue will be fixed soon.
Free button placement will also be implented somday. But i don't know how to use pngs in delphi. ![]()
EDIT: Found! PNGs for delphi!
And then you will really make a skin for it??? That would be so great!!!

nono, I mean it recognizes that they are there, even when hidden
and why'd you roll your eyes?
Originally posted by XJOSHATTACKX@Apr 5 2004, 04:01 PMMine is very buggy. Take a look at the screenshot.
There's spaces between all the toolbar buttons.
The Search Bar is wacked out.
The Highlights in the side panel are all screwed up.
Any reason why some people are not experiencing this and I am?
I get this same problem with the new version as well. ![]()

Well, sorry, but i don't know how to fix that yet.
It should count all visible items in the explorer window, right?
And i'm very sorry for everybody who gets that ugly bug but i've got no idea how this can happen.
It works fine for me with WB4, StyleXP, no skin, w/o Lucida Grande, with big fonts and also on Windows 98 and 95!

maybe it's because they are using the OLD ini file?
try a fresh install, guys

yes, visible only, as well as folders

good work pantoni, first usable finder clone ...
i have one suggestion, plz replace icons in You panther skin by bellow attached icons.
they are grabbed directly from Mac....
Afterward Your Looca will look exatly like Mac OSX Panther Finder...
waiting for updates, regards...
This is a very promising finder clone! Here are a few bugs/suggestions ...
1 - Versions 1.13 and 1.14 are MUCH slower than v1.05. It takes about 2-4 seconds longer to open directories with lots of files in them.
2 - You should consider using a smaller image for the background (perhaps a small tiled image,as opposed to a large streched one). It'll probably speedup resizing.
3 - Allow skinning of the 'details view' bar ( the bar with Name,Size,Type,etc..)
4 - Skinned window backgrounds would be nice. (Maybe you could just configure Looca to use the Desktop.ini file.)
Keep up the good work!
next I recommend for use with brushed 3.5 skin (by hills) to avoid disalignment between and title bar to use below attached bitmap and set in skin.ini background method to Tile.
Method='Tile'

Duckie, is there a Visual Style that has the brushed/gradient effect? I'm using the Brushed 3.5 VS,which is supposed to be an exact replica of the osx theme, and it uses a flat, brushed background.
use this
