[release] Looca

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bump this thread but I'm having a problem with Looca, well not really a problem, and I don't think starting a new thread is a good idea since we've already got a big thread for looca.

I just wanna change the default folder displayed when looca is lauched. For me, it always takes me to the second folder below the separator. I want it to take me directly to my C drive I've tried editing the .ini file but no success. Any idea? Thanks a lot :) :)

Look, what is so complicated? Just follow wizard's link a few posts above yours. From there, you can download the latest version; I know one link definitely works.

P.S: Oh, and it's called a hyperlink :)

#236889

ok, now i can find it,thx

anyone know why my folder icons are showing as the xp default? i use icon packager to change my icons, and i see there is a folder.ico and harddisk.png in the icons folder but its not using those. is it supposed to?

#238484

looca uses icons from shell32.dll for folders and drives. If you wanna change those icons, you have to rehack your shell32.dll by using reshack, iconpackager doesn't help in this case :( :(

#238486

damn thats pretty ****ty. alright thanks for the info man :)

which number is the folder? :P

#238487

Probably a ****ie post, but......

When I go into Start--> My Computer--> C Drive, the explorer.exe window is opened. I think Looca is pretty, I want Looca to open. But it does not.... I get the usual explorer.exe open, the answer is probably obvious, but is there any way to get it so that instead of explorer running, Looca does?

Thanks guys...

BTW, Looca is amazing. We need to make it more accessible to the community, this is truly an amazing app!!!

Despite its limitations, i consider Looca cool enough to use as my main finder. it's a bit slow on directories with large files and doesn't remember folder view states. but still pretty cool, very simple and efficient.

I hope the drawing errors on appleview and the out of bounds prompts on column view will get cleaned up in the next release, it can be annoying sometimes.

Thanks and keep up the excellent work =)

I am thinking about this question, 2

I want to use looca as my explorer

but seems impossible

#292580

Open up explorer.

Open Tools menu, click folder options.

Go to File Types, highlight file folder.

Click Advanced.

Make a new action, name it whatever you what, use looca.

And set that action as default.
