about the earch box:

It's very usefull yeah!!! but would if be possible to add something so that when i type something, it's considered that there is a * after that??

ex:

I want to search the file "myfile.txt"

When i type "m" the search box act as if I typed "m*" and display all the files begining by "m"

after that i type "y", search acting as "my*" displaying all the files begining by "my"

It coulf be usefull cause we won't have to type the entire filename, word, to find it... for example if there is only one file beginig by "my", I would only have to type "my" in state of "myfile.txt" to find it

Well,

it basically does work like that. If you want to find everything with "my" in it.. just type *my* It will find everything with "my" As long as you close it of with the second asterik it will find all the words containing just that letter.

here is what I mean:

Great release. I find that when searching, ALL zip files are displayed regardless of relevence, and folders are too. Not that the folders really matter.

it has a few problems. i need to have support for more than one optical drive (cd and dvd drive) or at least 2. i also need a pseudo menu (one that is invisible but will appear in objectbar) if i find more things to complain about i will. you're lucky. i usually find 1000s of things to complain about in finder programs.

you could have 10 optical drives if you wanted to. just add them. They just wouldnt have the eject button

If he goes back to the original menu it will be there! Tried it with version 1.55 and it works great. but you have to refresh before you see the change (f5) pretty cool

the previous version uses an explorer like right click menu. I went back to using that version and the color label thing shows up in the menu if you are using it on your system. Therefore, if pantoni changes the menu back to the old one (which I have no idea if he has any intention of doing) Then it will already work cause it works in version 1.55. Heres a screenshot:

Yeah, changing back to the Explorer-style right click menu sounds like a good idea. I miss the WinRAR/Compressed Folders options too.

This is an incredible app nonetheless.

I'm amazing to tell you that looca has ALLREADY suport for arguments (looca.exe E:\) (without "-"). This argument work in Mobydock, Objectdock and Objectbar too, but remember - without "-".

This is the reason that I use looca instead of other finder clones.

so when I open my powder mount drives the show in looca :lol:

The arguments don't work for me! I'm using AveDesk, and I have a shortcut desklet that links to Looca with the folder I want being the paramater.

When I double click the desklet, it says

"Cannot Find Folder: C:\Documents/"

and then Looca opens to my User Profile Folder (C:\Documents and Settings\nightcrawler1089\)

Any ideas?

Maybe those who got it to work could show me what the code looks like from AveDesk (in their theme.ini file).

However, if I put the arguments in quotes in the AveDesk desklet options, then it opens up the folder I want ok, but first it gives this warning (before Looca actually opens):

Cannot Find Path: "C:\Documents and Settings\nightcrawler1089\Desktop\Work\"

Any ideas?

are you putting the argument in the parameters part of hte ave desk screen?

By the way, it does not seem to work with folders that are more than one name.. like C:\program files

it only seems to work with

c:\

or d:\

or c:\looca

etc...

I tried using as MS-DOS name for the parameters...Still didn't work. What Looca did was show me the same error message:

Cannot Find Path: "C:\Documents and Settings\nightcrawler1089\Desktop\Work\"

even though I entered in the MS-DOS name for that path. Yes, I am entering the paramaters in the AveDesk arguments part; however, I tried appending it to the Shortcut name (i.e ...\Looca\looca.exe C:\Documents and Settings)

Still doesn't work. Maybe there is no fix for the two name thing. Do you think that's what is causing my problem? After all, there is Program Files, and Documents and Settings
