I'm not saying your finders are bad... all i'm saying it would be failry easy for a trained C++ professional to make a standalone app...

Well, I think what everyone else is trying to get across is that ok yes, it wouldn't be *as hard* for a trained professional to make such an app (though for it to really have graphics acceleration, emulating OS X Quartz, etc), that would take teams, development teams, and possibly even hardware). But what good is going to do to tell all the finder developers?
No offense, but I'm getting the urge to go, "Well, yes, that's nice, but so what?"
I'm sure all the finder developers are doing their best within the free time they have. What are you trying to suggest they do?
Hey! Cut that out please. The author needs hosting and all of you are just dying to test it so please find him some place to upload the file and stop this useless discussion. Amount of work put by our developers in their creations is unqestionable. Period.

but mine is an asian site, maybe a little slow for you..
Who is the kid anyway, he must be like famous nowthought?
It's a kid in a feyenoord-jersey. Feyenoord is a soccerclub in Rotterdam, Holland. So I guess he must be living in the same area as I am living :canadian:
It's looking more and more that this is a delayed april-fouls joke, because so many people offered hosting....But on the other hand, it might be real and he is just having a life
waiting for the host to go up so i can post it in the news... ![]()
people really need to get a grip here... chill out...

Be patient Seph. I've offered hosting, but no reply. >.
one of you developers should learn the concept of open source, set up a CVS, and have ALL these developers who yearn to make ANOTEHR finder clone pool their efforts into ONE AMAZING finder clone.

Either that or you'll get a buggy, slow and inconsistent app.

Sure, if all other developers agree with using Delphi..... >.<

Not all the time....as you can see <_<
He could be the next Jade Lee....
Sorry you had to wait so long, but i sent to nearly everybody who offered me hosting it now. So we will see when the first copy is on the net...
I had to fix some code problems that prevented Looca from running correctly on other PCs. But now it should work. :smartass:
Not bad... in fact i'd say its pretty good. One problem i have is that you have a nice preferences pane, but you cannot edit the side bar shortcuts with it.
but you can in options.ini, and its not bad at all! i dont mind doing that if it turns out really good in the end!
and it does look like the shortcutbar editting is coming in the preferences later...

wow...
it is definietely in the running!
nice work.. very functional!
I really can not beleive how fast and light this is... it is only using 7,000 k right now!
All windows shortcut keys seem to work as well.
wow wow wow
You can even veiw thumbnails by selecting this from the preferences menu
i am trying to figure out how i can make a shortcut (like on my desktop) open looca to the C:\. I haven't figured it out yet. I tried making an arguement but then I get an error about the skin...hmph...
