[release] FlyakiteSP2 v1.0

Hey flyakite,

Great work mate, I do have a few comments though. When you delete an item from that belongs to the 'all users' group the dialog box reads "would you like to make the phone change permanent?" instead of "this action will affect all users. proceed?". As somebody mentioned before 'get info' is switched back to properties. What happened to the customized display properties dialog? i grew quite fond of your display properties having the big mac icons on the side and the buttons re-organized, the wider look was cool too, did you make this change on purpose or is my install incomplete?

I feel like such a jerk right now complainin about your already awesome work... :P

Hmm... well the "would you like to make the phone change permanent?" I have no idea about, as I didn't mod anything but the normal context-menus and stuff like that, so sorry I'm not sure what is causing that.

Yeah Get Info I accidently forgot to include, that's my fault as it slipped my mind.

And the wider, customized dialogs were taken out of this release for my own reasons. It just wasn't something I wanted to deal with as the amount of work that goes into making the dialogs look right and work properly is beyond the time I have. Not only that, but personally, yes while they look cool, I prefer the smaller dialogs. I like to have my dialogs take up as little room as possible so I can see multiple windows open at once.

As I said earlier, I MAY (this is may, not yes) end up modding the dialogs again for a future release.

Hi Flyakite

Almost everything is working well now.

I've done what you suggested me to install the cursors and the sounds, i ran the installer without installing system files which I previously installed using Batchmod.

I then used Tweak UI for the Blue Icon problems!

Now everything is fine.

However I have a pronlem remaining,

My shut down menu looks strange. I give you a picture on the following link!

How do you think I can correct this?

Wow...have none of you heard about IconPackager or any of the other dozens of icon replacement utilities? They're not going to bite you...they're just icons. sheesh.

Plus, they're Mac OS X system default, so they're SUPPOSED to look like that.

I had to uninstall it. I wasn't really happy with the changes made to my system. I had gone ahead and taken steps orginally to work SP1 into SP2 with my own changes. Guess I'll just stick with them.

Hey that's no problem, I don't mind. Everyone has their own personal tastes, and to be completely honest with everybody, I don't even use my own system files outside of the testing environment VMware. Ironic isn't it?

That is funny, as much as I was awaiting this, I guess I just lost interest. I've been working on my own msstyle too, becuase I guess I just need something of my orginal thought for now. :)

Excellent reason...you're exercizing your artistic side and taking responsibility for your own theme. I wish more people did that instead of sitting on the other side of the monitor drooling until the next release they can mooch.

by the way, where in VB are you. You know Tim lives by the Office Max down by Pembrook mall...I used to live up the road from there too.

The only thing different for Windows Media Player and LiveUpdate are the icons that represent those programs. LiveUpdate (S32LUCP1.cpl) is show in the Control Panel, Windows Media Player in (Program FilesWindows Media Player). That's all that's different, it won't change the look of the programs. In terms of the LiveUpdate version, when I bought NAV2004 it came with LiveUPdate like 1.90. Then they've released new versions, which are NOT displayed through the update system, they have to be located and downloaded manually through Symantec's site.

If you go to Symantec's site, then to Downloads, and choose LiveUpdate from the dropdown menu you can find the latest software for LiveUpdate.

It is unbelievable (for me) that one person is so perfect in programming and all the other things to modify xp to look like aqua!!!

But now, i have a lot of work....make a new xp installation...update to sp2 and then modify to aqua! :-) but i like to make it!! :-)
