Well at least enough. I'll eventually add more, but you can get the gist of what the files can do from what I've put up.

EDIT: By the way, if you install the "Mac Shell Dlgs" registry tweak it can cause dialogs to look a little funny. This is because it makes the system use Lucida Grande as the shell font and so because of the font properties it resizes dialogs, buttons, controls etc. There is no workaround, other than to uninstall the registry tweak from the uninstaller and then restart.

Hi!

I've just installed using batchmod!

That looks awesome.

However, I still have the yellow icons for the folders, and the windows cursors and sounds.

How can i make everything work properly?

P.S. Maybe I made a mistake concerning the files I put in the source folder in Batchmod. Did I forgot some of them? Do you think it may be the problem?

then , the icon of taskmgr.exe as same as cmd.exe's icon .... is it a problem ?

The way directories come out during "Extract Files Only" is the same way the directories are setup on my computer. I put the folder in, but decided not to mod the comctl32.dll file in system32, because it has caused many errors before.

No the icons being the same is not a problem, it's just what icons I chose to use for those files.

I can only view the very first screenshot you posted for some reason. The others timeout on me.

Great Job as always flyakite. I know that you said in the preview thread that you did not resize the dialogs. Are you planning on doing this in the future? Windows looks really great with the dialogs resized :)

Anyways... Everything went great the install was flawless. Thanks again, I finally upgraded to sp2 because of your files :)

I may resize the dialogs in the future, we'll see. Personally I prefer the normal dialogs, however I know a lot of people like the resized ones.

One of the main problems is that there are SO many dialogs it's unbelievable. Sure you can modify the main ones, but then a lot won't be moddified, so it's a win/lose situation. So we'll see, it's always a possibility.

On another note, has anyone installed on XP Home yet? If so let me know how it went so I can post the info on the site that it does indeed work with XP Home.

ok man you are smarter then i and i just wanted to say that this is great and the only things that didnt get repalced where the norton files in control panale and then also the nvidia but who cares its b--e--a--utiful. thanks for all the hard work.

Nvidia probably didn't update because you don't have the newest driver, and LiveUpdate didn't update because you don't have the newest version of it, found here:

I have noticed that you included a Outlook express folder in the extracted modified files. Is it for modifying the outlook express to Imail style? If I replcae all files in the folder, will it turn my OE to Imail?

The Mail style outlook express is the very thing I am longing for so long time, I have been tolerating the ugly OE till today.

And, I noticed something funny, I did not use the shell32.dll from Flyakite, only replaced my msgina.dll, then I found all my font turned to the beautiful Lucid font. It is a unexpected surprise, and it is great.

BTW, a little question,

How can I turn off the throbber in OE? Who can give a idea?

for the boot screen and logon screen or icons do i still need the -icon packager or bootskins or logonstudio for them to work properly or i can just uninstall them and i'll just leave the windowblinds 4.3 and object dock plus would do just fine.

No you don't need Icon Packager, Bootskin, LogonStudio, StyleXP, or anything else like that. You can uninstall all of that software if you like.

BondJames: Get yourself TweakUI from Microsoft. Use the "rebuild icons" function in that program to flush your icon cache.

By extracting files only Batchmod was not included.

But I had kept the version of batchmod from the former version of Flyakite on my pc. Used that one this time again, but couldn't get it to work (CMDscreen kept nagging about replacer database files not found). That sucked, since I'm condemned to the Batchmod operation because of my Dutch version of XP pro.

Got fed up with it and decided to be Bold.

And choose to full install, which had worked fine with FK 5.1.

(then again FK 6 sp1 had killed my pc during that same procedure,

which had converted me to the batchmod-process in the first place).

But...I persevered! Veni, vidi, vinci ...I'm Aquafied again! ;)

Thankyou Chris, you enhanced my M$ Windows experiance again.

Only the configuration screen of WindowBlinds is f*ck*d up again,

which is probably because of the font changes (any solotions, beside reverting the font back to M$ standard?).

Besides that, so far I didn't encounter any anomalities whatsoever.

I'm amazed. So many new pictures compared to the earlier version.

You even fixed the icon in the properties of network connection.

Again, Great work (with a capital 'G').

However, I mean OE, not IE.

I know Yz toolbar can hide the throbber.And I use the register modification (which is also included in this Flyakit's kit) to turn off the throbber in IE or other explorer windows, but that in OE does not disappear. when I used the imail created by PACK, it hides the throbber.

But this time, I replaced all files in Flyakit's folder, the throbber does not wanna disappear.

So who could give a direction about hiding it with the regedit?
