the weither forcast looks like a very nice addition, cant wait to use it.
may i request that the image channel be the next after wiether channel to be worked on.

well, im not sure what the behavier of the image channel is on the real sherlock, but if it acted like the image search on google that would be cool.

How about, you do the search, it displays the thumbs, and you double click on the thumb which brings up a save as dialog to save the picture (in full size)

What do you guys think of a PriceWatch.com channel. I dont know how many of you use pricewatch but its pretty convienient. Also, this weekend I have a big paper due, so there might be a delay in the weather channel. But who knows I may get it cranked out by then. After that is done, I know some people were wanting an Image Search function. It might take a little longer than expected, I am gonna try to figure out how to do it and before I do I need to clean up alot of my code. Merlin is taking up more resources than it should be and my code is sloppy anyways so im gonna do some minor things. Shouldnt take but a day or something like that.
Also, would you guys think a blog would be good for me or would you rather me post updates on here? Cuz I can make a blog just for Merlin and make updates on there and then when a release comes out just come on here? WHatever you guys want is kewl with me.

2. Wouldnt it be necessary to have to write all new code and have my app support and read that code, so I would have to program an entire language into it? (Never done a plugin supported app so im curious)

I would like to see more chanels like yellow pages, white pages, phone number reverse search, people search (by email or name) Hum..what's near by...like enter a zip code then give you a choice: nearest ATM, rest. movie thetre. hospitals.shopping center ect ect then click on ATM it brings the location and the address and the miles away info.
oh also will be great if allow save/export those informaton to a address book (excel) or something like that for offline purposes.
And maybe this is too much to ask for...if thats possible: in the search results click on the phone numbers will bring you a dialing window to automatically dial the number..which is usful for people have dsl and telelphone all on the PC

sorry for double posting...forgot another idea: music lyrics...search by album or song title...artist name..then give you the lyrics of the whole song or the song titles in the album itself.
borninhalloween: well that sounds like a real big order. But we will see what I can squeeze in there. Right now I am trying to see if I can work out some sort of SDK for further developement. That should be pretty kewl if I can get it working. Anyways, thnx for the ideas.

And a sug(g?)estion for the lyrics. There is a great site http://www.leoslyrics.com/ that even have a plugin for Winamp. Maybe you could see how the plugin works and use that to help you.

Example: You enter in Phil Collins, it returns like 1000 songs or whatever, should I just list what all is returned and then get those lyrics. Hmm.. Definately interesting

and with the big picture here. are u gonna have a channel button like in the real sherlock. i think that would help the look of the app, even if the button dosn't do anything at the moment.

Maybe show the number of results returned, and the offer an additional option to search within results? Or show, if that's what the user wants? 
I think i got it. How bout they run the search, a window pops-up and displays al results. Then the user clicks the song they want and the window closes and in the main window it displays the lyrics.
I would love a TV section. Mabie something off like http://tv.yahoo.com/ ?

Lol, its not their not willing its just there is no way for them TO do it. I have no SDK out. Guys Iv'e told you before I DO NOT MIND DOING THE WORK SO PLEASE GIVE ME IDEAS. Dont hesitate to throw out ideas just because you feel "youre asking too much" or whatever. Be open, please .
