got a vauge notiuon of a release date? it sounds like your fairly far along.
Pre-release: Sherlock/watson For Windows
or just go with Holmes...
Holmes sounds cool, but can we treat him on a first day basis? you think?
@Chip, you just need a magnifying glass? if so, tell me and post your email or PM it to me...
thx Seph but i`ve founded one...
I know it sucks but i`ll think on another one
Well the eye loupe it`s not mine, it`s made by apple, modded by me
If there are some probs, Admins please remove it...
I don't know how far this is going but I hope it gets finished and would work the same way as Sherlock does. Good luck on this one.
For a name, I recommend giving a generic name that conveys what the software is supposd to do.

Ok, on the name. Hmm, I dont know about Holmes. May get into some trouble with Apple on that. But hey its always open. Ok and what was the other one? Clousseau? is that pronounced, Clue-So? or Clow-So?
On the part of the release date. I have no idea. I am a student so of course school comes before this but hmmm, expect a public beta maybe 1 week? I will have Thanksgiving break soon so i will get ALOT done in that time.
Expect it to be good. ![]()
Ok I need some help from you guys. Ive been trying to figure out how Babelfish and FreeTranslation.com get their translations. Ive figured out that they run through a form based system, but can you guys tell me what variables are sent and what is the names of them and the values and also if possible, what the source text name is when sent?
I can try to figure this out alone, but I have to finish the other channels and this is not on the top of the list. ![]()

First Project Screenshot. I was playing around with the look of it to make it go aqua. The label is wrong hehe, I need to change it to "Translation" I know, I just wanna show you guys how it looks. ![]()

Any comments, ideas? I was thinking of making it in Milk as opposed to Stripes
Brushed, Smooth Stripes (the Glossy look). Or you can just skin the background and have it call an .ini file which has the location of the background image thus making it customizable to any theme. Just a thought. ![]()
I think it should be skinned by ferrets
but seriously, no...please, if you are going to make it, can you at least stick to the original? or have it skinnable and dont compile the skin files in the app?

some, as in all of the real aqua-softian ![]()
You guys just want a Windows looking application? That is n/p i just figured that since it is Aqua-Soft I would make it aqua. But hey whatever. ![]()
Well, duckie and Goku have a point. Most of us use WindowBlinds/MSStyles/what the heck is out there, and those programs will skin the program accordinly to match the rest of the OS.
OK you got it then. The first release will just be a regular old looking application

juyst make sure it will accept calls from our skinning applications
in other words, have it act as a normal window
ya it will, I will not have any skin applied, just have a normal window and what not. Hey question. If i make a small window, you know the ones with just one miniature close button the "x" does that get skinned with the OS?
Theoritically it should.
can't wait. literally.
