P.S.: This does not work if you are behind a firewall (I dont think), I am on my school's network (high school not college) and none of the channels are working. I need to add a proxy function to it soon. But until then if you are on a college network, and it works tell me.

My zip is 47906 (Indiana) everything else is fine but the movie section wont display anything......and I redownloaded the newest one that you posted just to make sure, also turned off xp's firewall still no good (Iam on dsl)

Wierd, try the zip code 77056 as a trial. That is mine, see if that works. I know that works on mine for sure. I think I know what the problem might be with yours but ill have to check when I get home, try mine for now.

Ill get working on the problem when I get home. I think that it is a difference in the HTML of the two zips. I tested a couple out before release but i guess not enough. I also tested 90210 cuz that the next one I thought of . But hey, this is the point of beta testing right.

No problem TiG4. :lol: Everything else looks good so far, and I see that the language listing has been rearranged as well.

Is there anyway which I can get accented characters to show well on my system after the translation? They show up as gibberish characters as the moment. :blink:

Ya ive been trying to work on that one. Right now the program does not support unicode (which kinda defeats the purpose of the translator) but definately it will be fully functional in the final release.

out of curiousity what is the final product going to have, like fetures n'stuff.

i know its a ways off from being complete, but were u gonna stick with the burn disk icon for the program?

maybe someone could wip up and icon for it, like merlins hat or something, like the sherlock icon really is... your know what i mean... iHope.

Hey guys, glad to know you liked the new channel.

Grim: No by no means is the icon permanent, i've just had a lack of time to create an icon. Anyone please feel free to create one for Merlin. It is open for ideas and or a new icon/logo.

There is really no "Completion" stage, it will always be in developement as long as you guys give me new ideas for channels. Some features to come are as followed but not limited at all to: eBay, Image Search, Recipe Search, Amazon.com Channel, Phonebook/Address Channel, Weather (Which is probably my next to be developed), Stocks, etc. Please, please, please guys give me ideas that you have. Cuz without you guys this would be nothing.

Hope to have the next channel done soon. So, you guys can see what I'm talking about when I say it will never be done because the channells will always be in developement. I am gonna create some sort of preference panel soon to choose which channels to display at the top but I dont have enough channels to test it so that can wait.

I've got a suggestion though. How about making this app more 'international'? i.e. make it accessible for the part of the community living in places other than U.S.? Simply make the sites customisable. Would be good for those residing in the States too since it would imply better personalisation as well.

Yes I have thought about that. There are a couple of problems (Which with time can be solved).

1. I did not build the application to be able to support plugins, but It is possible to do.

2. Wouldnt it be necessary to have to write all new code and have my app support and read that code, so I would have to program an entire language into it? (Never done a plugin supported app so im curious)

If it isnt too difficult it MAY go out the door with the first "official" public beta. but no guarantees.

SilencedEdge: Yes I have thought about making the app international and it WILL be, you can definately count on that. I am going to put a site up for my software and I am going to create a poll to see where I should base it off of. But yes you can definately expect that to be in there eventually.

Very nice, trailers are a nice touch. but what are u plannin on adding into the blank white box on the left of the trailer? Maybe a movie description? Movie Trailer is definitely a nice touch. I was wondering if it would be possilbe to incorporate to formatted text function?

In the white space will be a movie description or other info that is pertaining to the flick. ANd what do you mean by formatted text? On the translator?
