[release] Es.xxi's Sys File Installer

info.jpgThis installer is now unsupported.

End

This installer is now unavailable for download and I do not offer support for it. I recommend using this great installer instead. If you offer a mirror please take it down, I don't want this distrubuted.

Thank you.

Thank you very much for the installer. The next time I mess up my PC, which won't be too far in the future, I will definitely use this.

Thanks again.

Oh I forgot to mention, I used the installer and my computer runs fine. ;) You thought I'd release something I hadn't tested?!

#62440

Everyone be sure to create a System Restore Point before doing this. We don't need 100 "Oh no my system is messed up" posts.

#62442

This did nothing on my system, only thing I noticed different is it takes the file menu away from IE and explorer, as well as the buttons, and has the winflag stretched across the top until you resize. No avi's, cpl's havent changed.

And yes this is on sp1, so whats the deal???

#62470

Same here...

#62475

anybody with any sort of success on this, im beginning to smell something fishy

#62477

Hmmm. I always wondered what fresh air would be like if it could be zipped and stored in digital format.

Seems I now know. I just didn't think it would be 20MB and need password protecting! :D

Sorry but all I got here was hidden toolbars.

#62483

umm.. ill wait till everything gets fixed ;)

#62488

ditto....

Any word on why it's messing up.

HAS ANYONE HAD ANY LUCK??

Also-- how do I make a System Restore Point, and how do I use it when I fudge my machine?

#62497

to create a restore point:

start > programs > accessories > system tools > system restore

create a name and restore point. simple, but useful. :)

#62501

Thanks.

Being the impatient person that I am... I tried it.

Same thing happened to me.

No noticable change except the addressbar is missing at the top or IE, along with the IE icon at the top right.

#62505

Did you all close ALL your applications including explorer? This installer should be run from the Task Manager (ctrl+alt+del) and going File > New Task.

It does work :P

#62531

bah... I rather the old .rar files without any installer..

#62534

are your files already modded!

#62537

I thougt you were all stupid, boy is my face red, it didnt work for me either.

#62538

How about some screenshots please? :naughty:

100th post! w00t! :rule:

#62539

Dreams trust me its worth the download if everything goes fine :)

#62540

2. cntrl + alt + deleted

3. New task

5. restarted

6. no change / toolbar in IE is gone.

#62546

#62562

I think it is safe to say that this just doesnt work

#62564

Nice release but I won't install it on my pc though

I just would like to know what is pack reaction towards this

#62565

Photo 678 is right this mod is a dud. Poof-Nothing. I'm reading more about how many systems it's not changed than anything. I would like to suggest that anyone who is going to post their mod beta test with a trusted source and have that person verify that it works before it's posted. Having the designer test his own work is like having the student proof read his own work....sometimes critical details can be overlooked. Just a suggestion....
