Gno-sx - Gnome Total Conversion.

Ok Guys, Sorry for not responding for so long. I've been working alot..

But I have been working with a few guys trying to make this more than just a Theme, We now have an installer script/settings tweaks and are working to maybe even make a custom gui installer. I know everyone has been waiting many a moon, but as with the last release you know it will be worth the wait, I am working hard to perfect this thing as much as it can be done.

We are looking for a few developers. we need a graphics guy, we need a GNOME programmer or two. maybe even more, I will gain more info and add another post.

You know, I really, really try to prevent myself from outbursts like this. Usually, I just call the creator of a mod a God or something along those lines. But this goes over the top (up there with my PocketPC, thanks to Duckie).

So, here it goes...

OMFGSECKS!!!11!!1!!eleven

Ubuntu (or Edubuntu) would be your best bet if you have never used Linux before.

Even if you have a slow connection, you can have Ubuntu CD's mailed to you for free (in almost any quantity, for any architecture). They take a while to get there (4-6 weeks), but what can you expect for free stuff (also, they are shipped out of France, so that has some to do with it also).

I'm going to have Linux soon, then gonna try this awesome looking theme (can't wait!).

EDIT: Tried! Very very very awesome and fulfilling the expectations. Linux/GNOME is much easier to customize than Windows.

In fact it's rather strange to put a penguine in bg in the preview....

Any news of version 2006 yet ? I just wish Grand_Masta would post a possible release date...

I see that he last updated his post about 2 months ago.

#387249

yes. is this still downloadable?

#400008

Just wondering, is this downloadable again? If so, where?

I'd love to have it on my Ubuntu. Even if it is some intial version of it.
