Gno-sx - Gnome Total Conversion.

Mandrake won't cure you of your RPM dependance. ;)

Though URPMI is ok.

Building gDesklets is very easy, takes like a minute.

And pyGTK is easy too.

checking for atk >= 1.0.0... Package atk was not found in the pkg-config search
path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `atk.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'atk' found
configure: error: maybe you want the gtk-gnome-1-2 branch?
[root@slug pygtk-2.0.0]# urpmi atk
Everything already installed
[root@slug pygtk-2.0.0]#

^ what happened when trying ./configure

this is why i am an rpm slave

ps. Contra - i posted that guide to getting OSX traffic lights... pin it, or if you don't like it, make your own.

pps. GrandMasta... i'm sorry... i didn't mean to hi-jack your thread

#56190

Did you try what I said earlier? With:

"export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig"

Remember, this variable only lasts for that "session".

Read the f***ing thread. :D j/k

I am truly and utterly impressed with this theme and all the hard work that must have been done to create such a theme for gnome...

I'm having a few problems and am hoping that someone can enlighten me.

Firstly, I'm using redhat, and I'm starting to think (after tinkering with things fo ra while) that this has a lot to do with it.

My "redhat" icon, or the gnome menu icon (similar to the start button) doesn't change with the icon theme addition... It stays as the little ugly red hat. I can't seem to change this icon, no matter what I do.

Secondly, it seems as though some of the icons in this same menu (the gnome menu) aren't changing with the setting of the ICON theme being installed. The specific changes that aren't happening (i.e., they aren't matching the graphics in the screenshot) are: accessories, games, graphics, internet, office, and system tools.

Again, I think this might have a lot to do with the fact that I'm running redhat.

Does anybody have any solutions for these small problems?

Again, very impressed and very happy with the theme!

:D

Also, how in the world do get you the wetaher sensors/gDesklet to work in the US?

It keeps saying "retreival failure"

:)

Wow this is great stuf! It all works great for me, I use the Fedora Core Project (RedHat Severn test version 3) Linux OS. I recomend it, everything is working and easy to use.

Hi!

Change the icon in

../../your icon theme/48x48/apps/gnome-main-menu.png

and redhat-main-menu.png

and define in your iconrc file

style "panel"

{

stock ["panel-gnome-logo"] = {{"xxx.png"}}

}

class "GtkWidget" style "panel"

see this (from RedHat 9) Gnome 2.4
