cool man,its aite take ure own sweet time....3 came out after so loooooong,but it was worth the wait...so u take ure time....just make it rocksolid when u release it...no bugs...ya no bugs is a litle too much to ask i know....minimum bugs...(no software is complete without its own set of bugs)

here is my problem. i dont have google desktop search, but i installed 1.0 anyway.i open the program
i type my search in either the menu program or the other one
the program appears to search for something
it returns a message that it has found 1 result (even for something incredibly simple like "a")
and it doesnt display any results
whats wrong!!?!

DUDE,just a suggestion,the main window should also remember the position,like the search bar...so i can place it where i want,and itll open there everytime
i'm having probs using with OB since i upgraded to 1.1, maybe i'm doing something wrong. can somebody give me a step by step descriptn of xactly wot to do in OB? and if this prob is alredy known, a way arnd it?

i right clik my spotlight button n select properties
in behaviour i select shortcut item n in open file i enter the "pathSearchSpyMenu.exe" -noicon( of corse by path i men the actual path) n ok
shud i b selecting any xtra optns? anything diff? pls help

insted of startin ss, some menu showing various folders of my comp pops up, when i clik the spotlight button.

after i enter the settings and clik the spotlight button, for a while nuthin happens then the said menu pops up. when i chek the properties after that ,the behaviour has somehow switched to 'open a folder' insted of run a file.
this is turnin out to b more of a OB prob than anythin but wot to do, OB is a lil difficult 4 me.

however can you post a small step by step tutorial how to link the menu to objectbar, and when i tried using the menu to search for something, the memory usage went up to 200MB and it kinda severely slowed my computer. also, it terminated itself after peaking.
hi there spygamer it's a great app but it's missing some great features like skinning or changing the program's name maybe a hot tray area for the tiger theme so i can press the finder icon that will be pretty neat
solidauth....please read the whole post first,hes agreed to let us change the name....as for skinning,i think the colour pallette should be sufficient to match it to ure skin...i htink its much better than skinning,cuz u can change the colour anytime u change ure skins...without having to create the appropriate skin...yes the hot tray area feature cud be useful for some...i have ob,so no prob ther,it runs gr8 with ob...
well i disagree on ur point about skinning i think it's an important issue it's not just about the color it's about the shape as well
Sure it is, but I don't think that there would be many people making skins for a spotlight clone. That's why I didn't add it.

Hey - I installed flyakite 3.5, and seachspy 1.1 along with it. However, even though I have GDS installed and running, searchspy gives no response at all when I enter something to search. It actually beeps at me, like I did something wrong. Anyone know what the problem is?
If you see the window but can't type anything, it is probably configured as a pop-up rather than a shortcut. Of course you will not have the quotes and 'path' will represent the location of the executable on your hard disk. Secondly you must be sure that SearchSpy is not running already in the task bar (called deskshade in Tiger OSX 10.4 theme). The ObjectBar shortcut for SearchSpy functions by opening the menu.exe every time you click the icon. Of course this means that you must close the program everytime it runs with the X on the right of the text form or in the taskbar. ok-so i can type a search but nothing happens-using latest version and latest version of google-index is complete-why isnt this program working?
Google Desktop must also be running, check your tasks.
