Problems With Admins/mods...

I recieved a few complaints about the staff around here, so now I am making it Public, if you have a problem with a mod or admin please post it here... is the staff closing your threads and not telling why, they editing your posts to make you look like an ass? let me know... Thanks! <_<

Also if you got something to say that you really cant say it here, send me a pm.

May sound a weird way about doing this but I would like to see more than 1 persons thoughts on things brought out in the open...

Someone has changed my member title to Albatross. I am 100% certain that I did not do this myself, so the only person that it could have been was someone with access to the CP

1st thing: this is an exception... i know i said i was going to lurk from now on but... this is why i "left"

i think that the modding is getting WAY out of control. there are just so many doing different things that nothing is left alone. i left because i got fed up when 5+ posts in a row of mine (they weren't bad or anything, they were completely on topic or replying to peoples' questions) got deleted, my post count was erased for "spamming"-> i DONT spam!! no one ever told me why i was a "spammer" i just reply when people ask questions! my member title was also changed to something along the lines of master spammer or something. each of these individually wouldn't be all THAT bad, but when they all happen within an hour or two of each other, i took it as a personal offense. also, it is impotant imo for the community to be able to discuss things that aren't aqua related. isn't that why there's a forum for general discussion? i can understand when racist religious etc posts are deleted, but some of the censored threads and posts are aqua related! there should be a rule that the mod must tell you why your post(s) were deleted (if it's not completely obvious) and the excuse about how this is "aqua"-soft so we should ONLY talk about aqua is bs. people who only want to read the aqua threads don't open the non-aqua threads. they just bypass them on the list, and go to the next aqua related thread, or don't even look in the general discussion forum.

Since i never knew such topic existed i'm gonna repost something i stated a while ago wich back then wasn't allowed to be posted on this board. It was a reaction on the way Duckie treated other members on this board wich i had to keep in PM wich i did not cause it was a public matter in the first place.. "public action, public reaction" i just think that the Mod (Duckie) that removed me and stated "better luck next time!" before killing my account didn't like what i was saying while it just was a matter of opinion.

For the record: What happend to me since the first time i posted this comment. Ok i posted it 3 times in public, i got kicked, ip banned (came back in stealth mode) and today for the second time been resetted to 0 messages and my signature and my avatar were removed.

So what was the big deal about:

Well, yes. I posted about my member title, and a Mod explained why it was like that, in a PM. It's all sorted now. It actually had nothing to do with a Mod or Admin, so it was my bad. Sorry :shy:

So 2 posts were removed with no explanation, I dont know who did but there is not a reason or explanation, If the posts were wrong perhaps someone should have posted that the posts were wrong but they were removed.

based on the replies in this thread will some action be taken towards/by the mods mentioned? I'm posotive none of the sentiments expressed in this thread will be brand new.. everyone knows Duckies is a very succesful @sshole and doesn't really care, but on the other hand he has every right to be fed up and pissed off at dumb-ass members for the simple fact that they are dumb-ass members.. sucks for the not so dumb-ass members.. but hey.. a lot of stuff he says, i think needs to be stated... and with that said rock on Duckie

On another note though... while the many exaggerated rants aren't a problem for me...its never cool to delete/modify a members post with no explanation as to why... and that needs to really be addressed, this isn't your board to shape and mold with the click of a mouse..its a community. you are dealing with people and what they have to say... if you are controling their expression in such an obtrusive way.. its gonna be an issue..

I've been around here for a while and try to help folks out when I can...I'm not a developer...just a user, with 20 years in the IT field...and I don't post just to get my post count higher.

I wasn't going to say anything, but since this thread was started, I guess this is the place for it. I did get a little put off about one of the mods rants a few days ago about "the database is getting full" and "stop posting thank you's". If I were a developer, I'd like to see thank yous...maybe we don't need hundreds of them in a thread, but it is nice to know others feel the same way you do.

As to the database getting full...I'd suggest if it's that tight on space, cut out the avatars and the 30-40k signature blocks some of the folks around here use....those take up a heck of a lot more space than a 2K text message that says "thank you".

I quit and asked for my account to be removed because Duckie deleted my posts. While his crankiness is certainly endearing, deleting my posts is a little too cranky. He's trying to wrangle like 100 13 year old boys, so he ought not take the operation so seriously.

OK, I know this is a little late in the game...

This is a wonderful site... I feel like most/all the people on this board are my friends, but I agree with a lot of the things DHSMaroon13 had to say. Most of the time I was notified when one of my posts was deleted or edited... I've also noticed a couple of my threads were moved w/out notification. Come on... I understand that being an Administrator or a Moderator is a difficult job, but how mush harder is it to notify people that their thread/post was moved/deleted, After all that is your job isn't it?

Why would someone have to enter this site in stealth mode... Cuz they love the site! I'm so... serious, this is the first site I go to in the morning and the last one I go to at night, even though half the time I'm using the default Luna skins because the aqua stuff boggs down my computer. Were all here because we love the Apple GUI and we want to mimick it as closly as possible. So we have admins and mods to keep it all organized. But I think that they abuse thier power sometimes...

OK this is the only site where I feel comfortable discussing my Linux/Widnows/Mac/BSD questions because NO ONE else cares..

yes mods and admins should notify the user who posted the thread if it was closed, but moved it depends cause if the person didnt post it in the right place its kinda like punishment they can search but yea it all depends who moved/deleted it or clsed

you must realize that if you're not a staff member you are not allowed to talk :staffs here: . This thread is similar to what bad nations have done in the past, spreading posts praising for righteousness and demand to snitch on traitor goverment officers by the local peasents.

You realize that by that it helps watching who has complaints and who register in a different account to override the rules no matter what
