[development] FlyakiteOSX v3.0

Hi there! First of all a huge thanks to you Chris! This is by far the best desktop theme I ever had.

I haven't gone through the whole thread so forgive me if my questions have already been answered.

1.) I once had a windowsblinds (IIRC) theme that had the feature of minimizing windows on doubleclick on the titlebar. Will v3.0 have that feature as well?

2.) I added a program to color my folders -now I dunno if it's possible to hack that - but is it somehow possible to color individual files and will v3.0 support that?

3.) Would it be possible to give that search spy a fixed position in the tray bar?

4.) Could you perhaps include a mounting program into the whole package, so that USB-Sticks, CD/DVDs are displayed on the desktop when plugged to the PC?

5.) Is there a specific reason why you didn't put the close, minimize, maximize buttons to the "normal" left side?

1) WindowBlinds themes designed after OS X generally have a white/clearish button that allows you to roll up the window. I believe this is something that can be set within WindowBlinds without anything else anyway, so its not something FlyakiteOSX would have to come with. For non WindowBlinds themes, you can use WinRoll, which is included with FlyakiteOSX that allows you to roll up a window on right-click or another button.

2) That program, iColorFolder, is included in FlyakiteOSX already. It does not support coloring files and FlyakiteOSX will not include any utility to allow you to color them.

3) No, tray items appear as they are loaded into memory. Even if the order of the items in msconfig is in the order you want, it does not mean that the tray icons will appear in that order, since it is loaded when the app fully initializes, and that may take longer for some programs than others.

4) If you know of a good, freeware, bug-free mounting program let me know and I will see about including it.

5) Yes. The native skinning engine in XP does NOT (and cannot) support the min/max/close buttons on the left. You have to use another program to do it, either ShellWM (which very few skins exist for it), or WindowBlinds. Those programs override the skinning engine in XP, and allow for even more customizeability. If it could be done with a normal msstyle skin for XP don't you think someone would have already done it? :P. However, the WindowBlinds Tiger skin that comes with FlyakiteOSX does have the buttons on the left.

Does anyone knows, what happens to the Flyakite Homepage? Normally, I use Opera, but there was just a white page with a black point in the upper left corner. So I used the IE and there was a strange Scrip prompt and weird black characters in it. After a few moments, the IE crashes.

I don't think that this is normal...

As an added note, I have not touched my website in at LEAST a month, so if there do happen to be infected images on my site, they got infected throughout the server, not by me. What website address did you try going to exactly?

But I don't think that I have the WMF-virus because I'm using Opera and the browser should warn me if a programm want to start something. A friend of mine has also tried to go to the site and the same happened. Very strange, but I will do a virus-scan this night.

Edit: The friend of mine has already checked his PC for a virus and he hasn't found anything.

Son of a..... I just cleared the cache in Firefox, refreshed and it showed a white page with a little black square in the upper left. It didn't ask about any script at all though. HOWEVER, this is the page source:

What the heck? I haven't touched my index page in at least one month. Since my site is hosted on Needlemen's servers, I suggest the rest of you with Needlemen accounts clear your cache and check your sites out as well.

EDIT: I just deleted the entire contents of the folder on the server, and reuploaded the html and image files. Cleared the cache, and refreshed. Did this about 5 times and all was good. About the 6th time, got the white page again. Whatever the hell it is, it is spreading. So for now, I am deleting everything off that server.

I just edited above and said I deleted the contents off the server. Now I am testing something though. I have Google Analytics script on my page. I have removed the code for the analytics stuff, and reuploaded the html and image files. About 10 cache dumps and reloads and everything is still fine. Either something is up with Google Analytics (why in the hell would my page get rewritten with source from some spanish site though?), or there is a virus and it just hasn't hit my stuff again yet.

This thing seems very confusing. I hope that it doesn't infect the whole server if it is a virus.

From what I've read none of the current anti-virus apps can even detect the virus right now. This is extremely odd.

And great, now it's happening again, so its definitely not Google Analytics. All files on the site are being pulled from now until I switch servers (just have to update the nameservers, already have a new host set up).

This is really odd... i'm looking into it. I've never seen a problem like that before.. very strange.

after a couple reloads of just the frontpage image i got this:

i don't know what's with the "XXX" spanish site...... very strange ran a good seach http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=%...%22&btnG=Search and found nothing about the site anywhere, other than it's homepage and the XXX page. No Idea.

EDIT: Then again... I was typing this as you were taking all the files off.. Though i refreshed a couple times and the image would show up again... then go away. Now it's not comming back up, but that must be from the files being deleted from that server.

I just entered the site. I HAD to know what it is about. Well, I don't understand Spain, but it seems that this site offers varios products, for example furniture.

Also strange: After clicking on "Add reply", the site looked like this: http://www.dzgh-army.de/reply.jpg
