no installation I like putting it where I want
It's been a while, upcoming update will it be 1.0, i hope it's not 0.4 ![]()
^^^ yea me too .. i am hoping this next release will be action packed and kick ass
Can you make magnification as fast as it is on Y'z dock?
Also why can't I add the Y'z Calendar docklet?
Also the minimized windows genie effect, would be nice, too. ![]()
I think that magnification speed is great. for me it's one of advantages over Yz dock. smooth and clear. I prefer that. hmmm what to say... supergreat app, thanks for hard work.
Does this app have the power to auto disable itself when certain programs are running so when youre playing a game a screen mouseover during the game in the dock area will not cause the game to minimize and the dock to appear?
Well, you can read in the title of that thread, it's said
"0.3 Beta"
Don't you think you're asking too much in that stage?
Ok, then I'll formally request that this feature be worked into a later Beta or the RC1. OK?
It's really the responsibility of the developer to say what is and what isnt appropriate for requests/suggestions or otherwise at any given stage of development. When you open an app up to public testing, or public use for that matter, you also open it up to the flood of requests/suggestions that are SURE to follow.
Dont chastise a user for being enthusiastic about an application, and I would go so far as to suggest that you not speak on the developers behalf to the users, especially with regards to development.
You've done a great job raduking. For those saying that this app is perfect, you are exaggerating a good bit. There are still a lot of things that this app needs. I personally won't be using it until it supports mutliple monitors. (if it does support it, the option is greyed out on my comp) Also, the close application command doesn't work for me. Do you think you could make it so that when you click and hold on an icon a quit application menu comes up like on the apple dock? Also I don't like that it is incredibly sluggish when you don't have it set to center. Anyway, great work so far raduking. You've got a lot of work ahead of you to get it perfect, and I'm sure you'll do just that. Keep it up!

Well, I didn't said it was inapproriate, I just said it's only the version 0.3 beta, so it's time to add that feature later (of course if the developer wants to do so) and I think that ajbrutico understood that. Am I right, ajbrutico? ![]()
There is a small app that does that for ObjectDock and Y'zDock, but I've never tried it with RK Launcher. There it is DockTool

Well.....he could chastise him for asking for a feature request in the wrong thread when there's a "Feature Request" thread prominently displayed in this forum.
Raduking wonderful app. I think for a 0.3beta it's very stable and useable. One small point I wanted to make and get feedback from others. I'm coming from using OD free version and RK launcher uses about 10-12mb of ram while OD was using about 3.5mb. Has anybody else noticed this or am I the only one? The animation and zooming effects are very smooth, probably smoother than OD though. Thanks again.
VC
Oh, it's not just you. RK Launcher does use a lot of RAM, more than OD, but as RaduKing said somewhere (I don't remember precisely where) that will be solved in the later versions. I look forward for that too.
the memory usage is only high because of the minimizing...
I have to keep a snapshot of the entire window for doing the minimizing...
and that takes memory.
turn off minimizing and you'll see that it only takes up 6MB... at least on my comp and I have 5 docklets and about 10 more shortcuts...
it eats up 5 MB of RAM with minimizing ON, so I guess it depends...
I don't use any desklet though...
I have only 12 shortcuts, no docklets and minimize off - still takes 8.5 Mb of RAM. I don't mind though - I have 1 gig of RAM and I love this app
Besides, I expect this will be fixed in future versions.
I've turned off minimizing and, I'm happy now, it takes up 4.5K. I don't have any dockets on and have 6 shortcuts displayed with PNG icons. I'm sure it can only get better from here.

I think this is an amazing application, as said the only thing i would like to see is the "genie" effect, but it's under patent :|
any backgrounds for this yet? i am kinda bored of the regular one
