Just wanted to remind you about the option to save, and thus be able to open separate themes. That way one would be able to simply apply a theme for work, games, skinning, etc.
Also would it be possible to add hot keys to individual, or a group of desklets?

really great. it was worth the time for sure.
but .. it just made my pc crash the first time since march 2002! 
i think, there was a problem with my TV App. (CineryTV with Terratec CinergyTv 400). The grayscaler effect looked kinda strange, after i closed the app and after a right-klick on an animation desklet. i got a bluescreen about "IRQL not less or equal"
i'm supposed to ask my SysAdmin - Ave, here i am ;-)
will see if it happens again. might be a bug in the TV App as well.
did i mention, that i love your Apps? especially the NotesDesklet is great. I'm really wondering how i lived without it.

here's a bug-ish / silly user type of notice. i shift-dragged the 'Windows XP' icon that is created by default to a different location on my desktop (same folder just a different x/y) and immediately my local disk started getting copied to a folder on my desktop.
can you implement a check that if a shift drag is used and the destination is the same as the desklets location (desktop) to just cancel out of the command? thinking about it i suppose this could be argued either way, this make sense?, what do you think?

Ave ... I could hardly believe my eyes (and ears!) when I checked aquasoft after being away from my computer for a few days ...
this is simply BRILLIANT ... fast, smooth, beautiful, and above all, efficient.
the effects were a nice surprise and tickled me greatly ... and the drag'n'drop feature with the closed and opened folder is the most beautiful visual i've seen on a pc in forever.
one weird thing i'm experiencing is that i can hear my labels "spoken" by the computer if i have the "speak" effect selected, and yet i get absolutely zilch when i try to drag a text file to the "speak" desklet. any ides why this might be?
secondly ... i'm a RETARD and have no idea how to set up my FTP drop desklet ...
the configuration i thought was correct was similar to the one mentioned earlier above:

yet when i try to upload a file, it waits for a bit and then receives an error.
once again, brilliant work ave ... will donate as soon as i get some sleep
EDIT ...................... i tried shift+clicking my note desklet to the speak desklet and THAT got it to talk ... but no such luck with dragging text documents from explorer still.
Holy sweet deity! I started reading this at I think page 4, and every time I went to the next page there was a full page of replies added on!
Judging by how fast this got crazy, I've got to try this new version out pronto, only question is, does the desktop function that was requested by my man Smoke work with Litestep or only explorer?

I played a little with jdesk's jDeskDesktopFolder & AveDesk, but i couldn't get it to work...
but it is possible to use a folder desklet pointing to your desktop folder, and drop your stuff into the desklet

It all depends where jDeskDesktopFolder is storing the files that are displayed on the desktop. Windows Explorer Shell is using a path that I can retrieve easily. If you tell me where the files are being stored, I can easily mod the desktopgrabber.

It's pointing to my profile's desktop folder (c:\users\vorlon\desktop). But since the folder desklet pointing to the same directory worked, I guessed that it were a litestep issue (maybe missing some message that explorer sends?), since drag&drop isn't its strong point

Is there any way so to make a Shortcut to "My Computer" ? I could only find how to make a shortcut to a Drive or Folder. Right now i have "My Computer" below a click trough Desklet but that way te Desklet doesn´t react to mouse pver actions...

Even though it's not beta how come system stats doesn't work for me....

I know some one mentiond that some of the well made Object Dock docklets can also work as a Ave Desk Desklet... (try saying that 100 times ffast while holding your toung :6 ) And well some have been working..like THIS and This but system stats just wont work... did I do something worng? Or is there something in specific I need to do?
OK, after playing for a little bit I got a few questions Andreas.
First: Would it be at all possible to enable scrollwheel function for the stickies? Like, when I put my mouse over, yes, it will scroll and returns to top etc after mouse leave. But I think it would be a rather nice addition to be able to use my scroll wheel when my mouse is on the sticky.
Second: This may be going a BIT too far, but I'm also wondering if in some way the desklets could possibly be shrunk to a min size or icon or whatver ... ala, cough, Dashboard, cough. Some things I think would be even better for my everyday use if I could just have a little 'icon' to click on to get at something, then when done, have it shrink back down with a click. Like the stickies when no text is on them ... or that nifty iTunes cover thingy when iTunes isn't running ... or the weather thingy.
Maybe it's just me, but sometimes I want things a bit smaller ... just knowing they are there for easy access, instead of being full-sized desklets running all the time. Perhaps even 'minimizing' the actual IMAGE for the desklet and thusly only showing the LABEL for said desklet?
Just a couple thoughts.
Still, and again ... awesome job on this ... I'm having loads of fun farting around with it!!

On Topic: I know how you mean I fell the same way here...although those sound cool I d think it's impossible. And if it is possible I think the peron to do it is the one making the desklet...I really aggree with you Manyk, Sometimes I just want more desktop space, or want to see my wallpaper. This is why I have the icons at 64px and text on only mouse over.. Best I could do to help you is give a idea of my config..sorry...
You can hide your desklets with vbs scripts. Take a lookie:

This script hides desklet with 'HD' label. If you want a script that shows it, just replace d.visible = false with true.
