No, you are right. Lemme check what goes wrong, probably a miscalculation somewhere.

I'm using it for my school's server that I always use.
All boxes are filled in correctly.
I changed the port to 22. After trying 21 first.
Link format is : http://{server}/~{username}/{directory}/{file}
When I drag the file on it does the glow thing for "Can Transfer" for a while and then says it failed.
If you need any more info just tell me.

Glow effect is fixed, ZIP file has been updated. Mirrors (thank you btw!! :woot: ), please update your files.
If you already downloaded the ZIP, you can simply replace the glow.efffect in Effects\Glow\ with this http://mpj.tomaatnet.nl/Glow.effect file.
The problem was a division by zero when using a colour that has one of its RGB components zero, the colours were messed up with resulting in the icon being invalidated. Fixed

@Stewie: Are you behind a router, firewall or something. Try to recheck your password or otherwise, check the 'Passive Mode' box.
Ok I been playing around with it some more a bit and tried the desktopgrabber thing and it's a nice start. I really like how it shows file information. I kind of noticed a problem in general though and that is the selection bitmap seems to be hardcoded to a certain drive\folder which to me seems affects the desktopgrabber thing.
BTW, Deadzombie I have to repectfully disagree with you about the labels thing. Why? Simple, because on the Mac labels have always been available to pick from the menus.
Oh yes I just noticed, if you want the icons to auto align they align to the left any way to align to the right?
Well we already know the app is great so I would just like to thank ave for being such a generous person. Some would have only done this for money and as you know most of us dont have any. Again thank you Ave for this wonderful program.
It seems all well written OD docklets work well with Avedesk 1.1:

I am using a router but the Passive Mode box didn't help. I have checked password also. No luck.

Probably missing headphones or speakers there. That might help. 
@ntchemist938: What Stewie says, or, You'll need MS Speech Blah Blah Thingie, which comes by default with WinXP, don't know about Windows 2000.

For everyone that is asking in other threads about a weather desklet, you can just copy and paste the weather docklet found in Object Dock from the docklets folder under Object Dock to the desklets folder under AveDesk. Use 'Default Properties Dialog' to set up things like the label and desklet size.
You can find the actual Konfabulator icons (and a few other sets) at The Samurize Forums. Luckily, the Konfab pack .png naming system matches exactly to the Object Dock weather docklet name system.
Well, I've been using the program for a good 30 minutes now and I've tested out all of the features and wow, the wait was well worth it. Like many others I was watching the coding progress threads of this baby day after day in excitement and anticipation. Today was so amazing because of the weather, because I went and bought some new stuff, and well, it ended with a bang in a way I did not expect.
Two days ago I called and ended my internet account because I'm moving out of the folk's house AND I simply have no interest in the net anymore. I am a maqua-holic and have been for many years, but life has too many responsibilities for me to focus on. My only last hope was that my computer would end up unplugged from the internet unreachable from all of its resources with ONE LAST installation left to complete my Mac'ified PC - that of course is AveDesk 1.1. Now that it's been released and I am using it for the final Mac-like desktop behaviour, I can gladly depart from the www with contentment. Thanks a million, AndreasV. Your hard work and talent has made this community so greatful and we thank you so much...

I was wondering if someone could post the "SelectionBox" image perhaps the one or similar in the screenshot AV posted on the opening post?
EDIT: I'm sorry, after changing the effect, and the reapplying to "SelectionBox." the selection image has appeared behind the desklet. However, is there a way to select the size of the selection in relation to the desklet image. Or does the app know to adjust the size in relation to, for instance, a 128 x 128 png vs. a 64 x 64 png? I apologize if I am posting this too soon. I will continue to play around the program and see if I cannot answer this myself. 
EDIT 2: Figured it out. The Selection image adjusts itself.
