Ah ok, I can get the "file not found" when I show the sublabel for My Computer. Thing is, I don't think the sublabel really works for system folders yet ... I'm not sure, so if anyone else reading this knows better, inform us please.
With regard to the webcam/digicam folder. I'm not sure. I don't have one for my webcam or digital camera. I DO know that certain apps will make folders in "My Documents" for use with the device or apps. Like, my ATI TV thing puts a folder in My Documents for storing streams or recordings or snapshots.
In this case, I would add a "Folder" desklet and point the target to the folder like:
"C:\Documents and Settings\USER\My Documents\My Videos"
Then it will show whatever you have it show for the sublabel under "Label Format"
If it's a 'special' system folder like My Computer with the reg name ... I wouldn't know what that value is I'm afraid.

No need to be rude. I think AveDesk is a great app in its own way. Comparing it to Samurize is like comparing chalk and cheese - they are two different applications with different purposes <_<
Nem, you are right: picture removed. Samurize is another FREE application, that serves a totally different purpose. Ofcourse, there are similiarities between the two applications - widgets, but AveDesk is nowhere near the level that Samurize reaches.

I had the similar problem, but LoofyGun (thanks again) helped me:
Put the SysStatsCom.dll in the Avedesk root folder, and move SysStats folder from %Program Files%\Avedesk\Desklets\SysStats\Docklets\SysStats\... in
%Program Files%\Avedesk\Desklets\SysStats...
This first pathway was builded for ObjecDock

I just found myself using AveIconBook to find Icons and then I send them to AveIconfier to switch them to PNG so later I can use them for desklets in AveDesk....

I could not open my recycle bin because i had removed it from the desktop.(Using X-setup).So when i enabled it again , the avedesk applet started workin again. That means Recycle bin MUST be enabled on desktop so that i can use that applet. But i dont want that recycle bin icon there. Any workaround for that ?

Hmm, that's interesting.
I removed mine with the powertoys tweak for XP.
Mine works perfectly.
You'd think they both use the reg entry [x-setup/powertoys] ... maybe they don't?

You are right ! Because i enabled recycle bin from xsetup and then again disabled it from powertoys. IT WORKED. Tht means xsetup uses a different registry entry thats actually not the best option for disabling the recycle bin !
I found the key that Powertoys uses ! Xsetup just deleted the CLSID from the registry leaving the recycle bin unusable ! Also one more thing i found was that , when the start menu is in Classic mode,
Powertoys is useless because its doesnt hide the recycle bin. To hide it , the start menu MUST be in New Start Menu mode !
To hide the recycle bin when using classic start menu mode :
Add this DWORD value to the registry branch given below :
Name:
{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
Value(Hexadecimal):
1-to hide,0-to show
Branch:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\ClassicStartMenu\

Hmm that's useful, but I always use classic start menu and I use Powertoys to remove my RecycleBin from my desktop and I didn't need to do any registry hacking.

One quick one - I have my Global Settings - Clicking selection set to Applets respond to single click. Only they don't. I have to double click everything - shortcuts, drive, folder - the lot.
Am I missing something?

Yeah, I missed it too. But I read on another thread (forgot which, went through soo many posts!) that you have to set Drag Delay to 200ms.
(Settings->Global Settings-> [Moving] : Drag Delay)

Is this an entirely different pic than the one that comes with Avedesk? I have tried messing with the settings, but I'm really at a loss to what each one does. I was trying to make the edges look curled and realistic, and I ended up making my note almost invisable!

I recently reformated and lost the effect that made desklets larger on mouse over, now I can't find it anywhere (I've searched for it on the forum the last hour). Anyone got it?
