Ok, I can't hold it in. I was going to wait until it was delivered, but I can't just keep this concield. I bought a new 20" iMac, with the following specs:

iMac, 20-inch, 2GHz Intel Core Duo

500GB Serial ATA drive

2GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM - 2x1GB

Accessory kit

SuperDrive 8x (DVD+R DL/DVD+RW/CD-RW)

ATI Radeon X1600/256MB VRAM

Keyboard & Mighty Mouse + Mac OS X - U.S. English

Price: $2,543

Yeah, the most powerful iMac. I maxxed out the specs. Apple just confirmed that they just shipped it, so I should get it by Monday.

Depends on how much a DDR2 stick costs in a seperate store. It costs only $300 to upgrade to 2GB from the Apple online store. ($600 in a retail store)

But iMacs with 512MB RAM run very well.

Seriously, you should definantly get one. Mine should be arriving to my house via FedEx around Monday or Tuesday. I'm anxious for it. I will have the most powerful computer in my town. :D

Also, I think to upgrade to 1GB of RAM, it's $150. It won't really matter by then because you're already paying so much for it, that's why I maxed out my specs. :P

I just ordered a new Macbook Pro yesterday, with a keyboard, Aperture and 2gb of ram. Since 2001 I have modded my computer to be like a Mac, and in 2006 I finally scrape the cash together to buy one.

Thanks for all the cool customization and bantering over the years.

Ah hell... I just got my very first Mac! Hehe. It's not much:

iMac DV G3 400 (Indigo)

CPU: 400mHz

RAM: 192Mb

HDD: 4Gb

OS: 10.3.9

But it was only £60 from eBay. I'm using it as a stepping stone to greater heights, hehe

YAY i got an iMac g4!!! it was free too well i did have to pay 2$ for the janitor to pack it in a box but whatever. it was a teacher's computer at my school but the new deal is if the mac crap out were getting pc's =[ but the teacher hated the computer filled out a form saying it ws broken beyond repair and said i could just take'er away.

so there ya have it folks! be good in school!

I finally jumped the Apple-wagon too.

After lot's of Aqua-softing, Aqua-fying and finally OS X 86-ing on my Athlon64 system, yesterday I bought myself the white 2 Ghz/slot loading super-drive featured Macbook, and so far it really just works! I got online wireless without ISP within 10 minutes from unpacking. I am truely amazed...:P

got myself a Black 30gb iPod that plays video as a graduation present. I had never really used an iPod before and I didn't realize how pretty this thing is. the black is definitely really slick.

Hey guys, I am glad to say that I switched to a brand new Mac Book 2Ghz (the white version) and I am totally satisfied with this apple laptop.

It is a great laptop and I would just say : BUY A MACBOOK, it's just great.

It was stunning just out of the box! The wireless connection was just a click away, iSight was miles ahead of my current webcam, the keyboard felt great, the screen is perfect (although I never liked glossy screens) and Spotlight finds everything in no time.

I could almost hear it whispering "take me home!"
