New official Thunderbird icon. It's in the nightlies I believe and will be in official releases from now on.
*faints* :woot: :woot:
Hmm... this is really beautiful, but sadly it seems to make my Thunderbird incredibly slow.
I've been using Bicet's mail.app and everything has been fine, but Pinstripe T-bird is noticeably less responsive.
Example: I have mail messages set to be marked as read after being viewed for 1 second. With mail.app, that's what happens. With Pinstripe, it takes a good 5-10 seconds.
Example 2: If I open up the Tools>Options menu and change various options and click Ok (or cancel), T-bird won't show the popup options box as being closed until I minimize T-bird and restore it again....
A third issue: Mouse wheel (scrolling) doesn't seem to work in the body of the message window. It works in scrolling the list of messages in a folder, but not within the message itself.
you just made my day. I can not wait to get home now!!!!

I highly doubt it's my PC.
2.4ghz p4-m
512 MB RAM
Win XP Pro
Maybe I need a fresh install.. I dunno... but Pinstripe is definitely noticeably slower. I'll take some screenshots if a fresh install doesn't fix it. Are you using a nightly or v.5?
Originally posted by magbi9@Apr 27 2004, 01:51 PMThat I cant fix.. [EDIT] I realy dont understand what you mean, it gets marked as unread in less then one sec over at my comp, so I dont think it's this skin that does that..
Well the Thunderbird default is something like 5 seconds. I set it to 1 second. But in reality, when I use Pinstripe, it takes somewhere around 7 seconds to be marked as read. When I use any other skin/theme it takes the 1 second it's supposed to.
i'm using it on a stable, but Magbi is using it on the nightly.
Very impressive guys - downloading now! :woot:
Well, using the nightly from Apr 27 fixed the speed problem... I don't know what caused it.
The popup window I'm taking about is the one you get when you choose Tools> Options... no matter what I press (Ok or Cancel), the box/window won't go away until I minimze then restore Thunderbird.
Anyway I have two versions of Thunderbird right now .5 and .6b (Apr 27 nightly). The .5 still is insanely unresponsive and slow. 0.6b is fine. So, I'll stick with the latter. ![]()
But again, nice work guys. This is a fine fine theme.
Excellent work! Plays very nicely with the 0.6a (20040423) build. Guys, you own. ![]()
After i installed the compact menu extention i keep getting this error " A previous install did not complete correctly. Finishing install." and i cant start thunderbird

There are some problems when installing this skin in UNIX. When you select an item out of a selection tree they all turn blue.

unninnstall thinderburd, innstall it again, and follow the tut!!
This is strange, after applying the skin I get a very strange lettertype. It's being used everywhere! (looks like times new roman or something)
Any Ideas why?
ahhhh..it has arrived, thank you very much, both of you ![]()
