Sounds great...can´t wait for that !!!
[ann] Virtual Os Boot Loader
as a fix though try deleting the values in the registry, VOSBL is located under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\KUNG FU\BOOTLOAD\
You could also try editing them yourself by putting the delay to around 1000 and entering the path of the image yourself then run the config again.
thanks works now
I can't wait for that either! Does anyone know of any free utilities to cut boot time? Both at the boot screen and at the desktop? Other than the program that Microsoft put out?
Thanks,

P.S: Do you have a release date for you new app, MrFooWon? If you need beta testers, I'd be willing to be one.
I noticed a slight problem with the program. It seems when the service is running, only accounts with Administrator privileges can log in successfully. A limited account user or power user will just stall at login, then will be left with nothing but their wallpaper. The next version of this program should allow these lower privileged accounts to login and still use the loading screen.
I know I certainly would want this since I like to avoid running as an administrator all the time.

Originally posted by MrFooWon@Apr 27 2004, 09:38 AMI have monitored all of the forums regarding this program and I am currently working on fixing all of the errors. I want to thank everyone for trying it out and giving me their feedback, it really helps me to zero in on coding errors. I have been enhancing the program greatly, the config dialog has been completely reworked. I am adding some code that will help to enhance and possibly speed up the boot up process. Through my research I have found that objectbar and objectdock take longer to load than other programs. The "trick" I have been working with is to have the boot loader expedite the loading of these apps on startup. Windows XP doesn't analyze the desktop bootup process, which is why so many Windows users are haunted with a long load. After I ran tunexp on my computer, the startup time was literally divided in half. This amazed me so I figured I would try to do something the same for your desktop bootup. Even users that don't do desktop modding still have to wait a long time for boot (due to all the progs that load in the system tray). I also am designing the program to put the user in control of the startup. So many programs that we install on our computers have a tendancy to add icons to the system tray, which slowly drains your resources. I am putting together a section that will bring your entire startup into perspective, no more looking at the registry to see entries like sysmdg.exe or yidxlgr.exe. Instead the program will analyze each startup program to extract it's description to help the user determine if he wants it to load or not. The new program should be available from osx-e.com when it is back up and running.
The docks are supposed slide up after the boot progress step on the osx so I wouldn't want to change that.
it doesn't say Welcome to Macintosh
Does anyone know when Tom is releasing the new version?
Tom has stated that when he is finished testing and tweaking the application to a level he is happy with, he will release it.
To the "when is he gonna release it? etc" crew, please be patient. Need I remind you all that the developers work on these things in thier spare time, and if tom requires testers, he himself will ask. So, just chill people. It's coming.. :naughty:
yeah, Tom, please back with this nice app! Or maybe you wanna have a BIG RETURN with app integrated with logon? Keep up this nice work (and plz make texts translateable)
I want to use Reshacker to replace SPLASH image. But i don't know what file that contain it ??
Anybody help me ??
I know it is a really really cool software, but a problem always occurs during the installation,
it says: could not find the source file d:/vosbl//@vossetup.exe
OMG, how can i fix this problem.
so, this is an old old thread, but the file is still listed on osx-e.... however, it wont let me download it (404). is anybody else still mirroring it? perhaps i should try asking tom?

Just write a PM to Alang - he's the admin of osx-e. I think that he'll be able to fix the dl-link ![]()
