The shellfolder monikers also work, like "shell:controlPanelFolder" and so on. So far, NONE of them have NOT worked. Thought everyone would like that lil' tidbit of information. 
Great app. I plan to use this a LOT.
Plan on a release (With many bug fixes and some new features that you guys may enjoy (no drag and drop or search yet but im getting there ))

-Fixed bug where start bar disappears when in the preference Pane.
-Fixed the documents button bug where the text would not write correctly
-Fixed pictures button bug, where the location would not go correctly
-Repositioned entire window to the left a bit to be more like Panther
-Added ability to change (and save) button text font
-Added ability to change (and save) button text color and button text selected color
-Added ability to change (and save) button text size
-Re-Wrote preferences file to better organize and streamline the application
-Re-wrote some of the button systems to display information faster and cleaner
-Changed buttons and button masks to realistic panther buttons (Thnx Duckie)
In Progress and may be in next release:
-Drag and Drop abilities in toolbar and top bar
-3 Pane viewing
-Search Bar functionality

I met this prob some time ago. Changing your regional settings to English will work.

I know you all have already said it, but i just had to say it.
the skinning possibilities make it great,
but the main issue here is a new interface for managing the files and folders.
For some time i've found windows explorer a greateresource for managing one's files then Mac OS 9's finder.
With the Panther Finder, things are obviously different.
And thanks to you, TiG4, life (concerning Win Operating Systems) can be different.

One note though:
I agree with someone on this thread that said that Xplore 1st posted version
shouldn't be named 1.0 because it does not has every main feature available.
I hope your next release should correct this being somethin like 0.5
However it could be 1.1 for me if you managing to do it all (just dreaming)

If i were to add a top bar drag and drop feature int he next release would you guys rather when you drop an item it add the icon or a bmp/mask file? Cuz I got the icon feature working. :rock:
Two bugs you may consider:
- iEx support - it doesn't want to minimize when it's supposed to show thumbnails using iEx.
- When I click to another window then click on Xplorer (without clicking its taskbar entry - i.e., I just click on the actual app below another app), there are greyed-out areas all over the box until I scroll the view or minimize/restore.

since we already know what the regular icon style would be like - why not let us test the bmp/mask file style :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:
that could get hectic though if you had to make bmp's/masks for every file - it sounds really interesting nonetheless!
I say leave it as Icon especially if you already got Icon working no need it making it more difficult just as long as it supports Icon Transparency whats the problem?

tig, make it so that only icons with transperancy can be dropped into the left column, that way the blue overlay when clicked will be able to pop up, if possible.
and of course: 25 pixel height for back / forward buttons.

Your welcome to your opion I have no problem with that but you seem to be forgettin the program is in 'BETA' stage and is of course going to have limited functionality and need much more work. 'BETA' dosnt stand for unfinished it stands for working but needs testing which is the reason it has been released so that we can all help TiG4 make his program better.
IMO opinion this is the greatest finder for windows most so far have just been a collage of bitmaps on top of explorer but this actually has functionality of course it needs work but thats what the early release is for... to make it a great Finder for windows.
my 2 cents anyway
