I used small icons for the toolbars and the toolbar-small.png hasn't been modified so I stlll had the defaults icon.

You could always change them to have a space or two before and after - that way you'll get extra spacing on your bookmarks bar.

I also tried to installed all the files, but after restarting my Browser i got one "mistake":
Evertime when i start Firefox I see that damn window. It doesn't matter where I make a check/check mark, after klicking OK....nothing happens.
I can't get the browser to work (?).
I never had problems, first after installing something from these files on the first site.
I uninstalled Mozilla, I deleted all Mozilla Files in the registry, restarted my machine and reinstalled Firefox:
Still the same problem.
Maybe it's the wrong place to ask (but...not really?):
How can i get my Browser to work?
Is there any chance to delet that damn Tabbingbrowser-Windows on start up?
I also want to work with these modified Files (from the first site)...

oh.. i got that the first time i tried to install
the solution is to do a clean install..
uninstall your program first...
then make sure u delete both the program folders(c:\program file\mozilla firefox)
and the phoenix folder from C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\phoenix
then install the program again and follow the steps...
it worked wonders for me..

is there anyway to get this skin to work with the iBar windowblinds theme? i tried using it instead of the safari wb theme provided to get that windows itunes look for the title bar, but that makes the toolbar in firefox look distorted.
my Bookmarks are completely gone from view from the Bookmarks tool bar under the address bar..... is it this the classic.jar fault or is a setting messed up ? they used to be there before the conversion.

Here's another piece of info that may be helpful in emulating Safari.
Download the User Agent Switcher to get that final piece.
Here is he info you will need to enter to make you browser appear to be genuine.

Is it possible to make a File bar-friendly version of this Safari theme? With the current one, you pretty much have to use Compact Menu because if you put the navigation icons on the navigation bar, there's a line going through the icons, so it looks strange. Also, why is it necessary to replace the classic.jar instead of making it a separate theme (like the Pinstripe mods)?
i still can't get that "< >" thing to fix, i did the compact menu to tab >tab extensions> and changing it to no reaction and its not working, suggestions?

mine is like distorted when i mouseover it and until now no one has come forward for a solution....
Unfortunately, and for some unfathomable reason, this otherwise excellent theme doesn't seem to like working with 0.8 nightlies (I tried 20th of Feb).....
The problem is the Bookmarks toolbar items are not visible. I tried a new install/profile, but to no avail. The only thing I didn't try was using an installer build.
Oh, well, back to using the Official Milestone then!
OK - got it working with the latest nightly (aebrahim 20040304), but had to replace some of the files of the Pixelperfect JAR archives, and also can't use the EN-US.jar file, else it causes a XML parsing error. I'm not sure what I'm missing by not using the EN-US.jar, as it looks rpetty good to me!
Sorry for the sloppy workaround, but if anyone is interested, it's not too hard to mix and match the individual files in the jar archives using WinRar. I just wish the firefox devs would stop changing the skin protocols!!!!!
I just sent the dev an email about donating the Mac images he needs...I can grab whatever screens are needed from my iBook.

Today I become totally bored with some annoying bugs which aquarius2003 mod have. I've runned Photoshop, text editor and file browser and start to fix all the things that makes me mad. :rant:

Fixes already made by me:
1. Following toolbar buttons now have gray (inactive) states:
- back/forward, reload, stop, new tab, home, downloads
2. "Downloads" button now skinned as "debug menu" button. Due to "search bar" sizes it cannot be placed to it's "like-in-real-Safari"-place (empty space appear), but you can place it anywhere else.
3. "About firefox" window now have "About Safari" image.
4. "Firefox Options" now have real Safari icons.
5. Toolbar buttons in "Bookmark Manager" now have gray states.
6. Both "Bookmark Manager" and main toolbar buttons are cosmetically fixed.
7. "Bookmarks" button (in "mouse over"-state) on "bookmarks bar" now have transparency corners in order to fix color difference bug.
8. Bookmarks backgrounds in "mouse over"-state are no longer have color difference bugs.
9. Replaced statusbar images ("pop-up blocked", "security" etc.) with small crap. It almost invisible, but this is all I can do with 5px height.
10. "Close tab" button are cosmetically fixed to match real Safari.

Now a little bit about misc. things you'we been said around this tread:
1. "Text in tabs are too low" - no. It's absolutely on the right place. Pixel-in-pixel.
2. (users who have bugs with "close tab" button) "Yes, I can disable it but real Safari has it!" - no. It also can be disabled on a real Safari (at least on latest versions).
3. "Icons on inactive tabs are semi-transparet" - no. Loading animation are not transparent.

Known bugs I not YET fixed (or it's impossible to fix due to Firebird limitations):
1. Text in tabs are cutting too far from tab edges. If real Safari have 3-5 pixels space between text and edge of the tab, Firefox have at least 35 pixels. It happens 'cause in Firefox there're ALWAYS progress meter in tabs (visible or invisible - it eat space). On real Safari tab text re-justified when page are loaded and progress meter dissapeared.
2. "About Firefox" window - maybe the only way to insert 100% Safari "about" window here is to reshacking .exe.
3. Incorrect spacing between bookmark folders and single bookmarks placed on a bookmark tab
4. Disappearing these amazing "down arrows" near bookmark folders and mouseover bug with "close tab" button - currently I'm working hard to solve this problem. Looks like there're some missing files in archives and css have errors in several strings. It may took too long to inspect a lot of css files.
5...6...100 defects and mistakes I still didn't discover. :6

Any chance of making the buttons aqua and skinning up the drop-down menu boxes to look like aqua too? I'm not so keen on the grey buttons - that's the only prob I've had with the theme - but otherwise it knocks the socks off any previously released skin for Firebird/Firefox!

How about a version where the spacing doesn't look terrible when having the navigation buttons on the navigation bar instead of on the file bar (in case you want to keep the file bar items)?
Also, could you release a standalone vesrion (i.e., it doesn't replace classic.jar among other files)?

My mission is to FIX this mod, make it look closer to Safari and not to add some new features or functions.
I'm designer, not coder and theme sources unfamiliar to me. I mean I can study it and maybe fix it but not change or rewrite. Also I can retouch or repaint every pic in theme if I found it different from Mac Safari. And second, I made it permanently for myself 'cause I use it daily and don't wanna sigh every minute "ohh... that button are so weird and that picture are not from Safari".
Great job mate. You'll be happy to know that your work is keeping me happy enough to put off my purchase of a mac (for a short while anyway) 
One thing though, and its nothing to do with your skin, but more window blinds. I only want to skin my browser, and leave the rest as standard Windows XP. But that's not possible because windows blinds doesn't have vanilla XP as a selectable theme (only windows classic which doesn't make much sense). You can set a per-application style, BUT, to apply any WB changes you ALSO have to select a skin. Which is kinda stupid.
Unless there is a WB aqua theme as good as this safari skin, I think I"ll stick to vanilla XP. (I can't stand it when button text runs outside a bubble button)

I'm wondering why you used a huge background image of 1278x900? The file size is huge. All you need a thinner image of 1278 or whatever (1024) it will repeat.

That would be awesome! Not a WB user myself, either...and I feel I'm really missing out not being able to use this superb theme. Looking forward to the port. I'm sure it'll be great, after having used your earlier themes for a long long time.
Your project looks impressive Minsky I have some questions:
1. Icons defining bookmarks - why are they 'default document' icons? Does it look like this on real Safari?
2. Are you going to do something with the fonts or leave Arial as it is?
And it's strange that you say that text on tabs isn't too low. Well, do letters like q, p, j overlap bottom tab's border in real Safari?
For those who don´t have or don´t want to use WB, just try the Safari theme, but instead of using the WB files, use the Mr. Hill Brushed 3.5 VS. they don´t match perfectly, but match well enough to looks beatyfull. (the only thing is that you will see a thin diference where de colors meets on the title bar).
