Only Serious Aqua-holics Need Apply...
I know I'm not part of the team here, but if once you guys have got some news you want a slightly more interesting web page than the current blog then just drop me a line and I'll whip something up. Obviously this wouldn't be to replace Stevies skinnable bug reporter, but I'd like to contribute something.
im available whenever, not sure if you need me anymore or not for resources, but if you do, Im always here.
Good luck guys
all times are GMT-3 (Brazil - Fernando de Noronha fuse)
Wednesday: 10pm-3am
all the other days i'm free in the afternoon/night time (make that 2pm-10pm)
Well, I am free every evening (starting 20h CET).
I'll probably can't this weekend because of a big school project (recode malloc) that I have to do for monday.
Hope this is ok ![]()
OK, how does 7:00pm GMT Monday 8th sound to everyone?
That's 8:00pm CET...
If anyone's got a major problem with that, let me know so I can try to organise some other time.
sounds good to me ![]()
I'll do my very best.
Who is bringing the food? Uhrm, I mean, I'll be there.
DO you guys need any japanese coders??

Monday, 8th @ 19:00 is fine for me :¬)
I'll post the details of where nearer the time (probably Sunday)...
@Kite: Not at the moment, no, but we may need multi-lingual coders at some point later in the project...

Okie thanks for letting me know . I hope everything goes well Good Luck ![]()
It's good for me too.
Sorry for late, guys, but I'm sick in these days (yesterday the fever was fly to 41° C!), and I have been able to connect only today
.
Just a quick update, guys - I've been a bit lazy the last few days, and not had the inclination to write the summaries of the meeting on Monday...
I'm doing it now, but need to talk to a few of the guys about stuff before I can finish it...
I'm aiming for some time this weekend.
I have some questions that I don't think have been asked before but I am sorry if they have.
1) Will you need to be running explorer.exe for smokescreen to work i.e is it a shell replacment or just a GUI replacement (sorry if they are the same thing)?
2)How much memory and/or resources do you expect this to take up, will it be like the more you add to it the more it takes up.
3) Will it have full functuallity of what OSX can do e.g. "secure empty trash" or will that have to be linked to a program maybe hmmm?
I know that it is not OS X emulation per se, I know that we can do things to make it look like OS X.
Just wondering about these as, these are very important for me and maybe the rest of the community to know.
Thank you very much guys.

considering they haven't yet written any code (according to a previous post anyway) I think those questions might be a bit difficult to answer.
Well they are probably going to know if it is a shell replacement or not, okay so the memory and functionally questions may be hard to answer or may not have an answer.
I'm sorry for asking such questions so soon into production

Okay everyone, a bit of an update, and it's not good news...
Basically, I'm solely responsible for the bulk of smokescreen's technical direction (as you probably all know).
This, as you may or may not know, is a lot of work.
At the moment, I'm in the process of trying to finish my degree - a very important part of my life. Couple that with a part time job, and numerous other commitments (such as moderation at Aqua-Soft), and I currently have very little time.
As such, after discussion with most of the other members of the smokescreen team, we have decided that it's best if we, for the next few weeks (read: until I finish my exams in mid-May), suspend any smokescreen activity.
Whilst I'm loathe to do this, we haven't done much thus far, for the sole reason that I've not had the time to coordinate the teams.
Don't worry, though, once I've finished my exams, I'll have much more free time, and hope to work on smokescreen pretty much full-time until I start my PhD in October.
I know some of you might be thinking "why not let someone else take control?", and I did discuss this with several of the other team members, but the general concensus was that they were too busy (like myself), didn't feel confident enough to carry out the role, or felt that it was best for the project that it was halted until I could focus on it and play an active role.
As such, consider smokescreen officially suspended until further notice.
Fear not - smokescreen will be back. I promise.
Goodness gracious... Reading ALL of this thread, getting more and more exited... finishing with that last post by Stevie_BM...
I'll just be drinking coffee then, untill you're done graduating!
Anyway... good luck on your exams!
We'll be expecting you back someday soon.... :smartass:
