Nobody can help me on this? I was having the same problem with crni's GuiPod config, and had to give up cos I just can't figure out what it means by "Run C:\Program Files ....". crni?

I know!!! I meant to convert it to Object Dock, so when you play a song in Winamp, the CD cover appears in the dock!!!

What it means is:
Start Samurize with the Instance name of CDCovers to differentiate this instance from any others you use.
Then select the config file cdcovers.ini
If you create a shortcut which points to
Samurize_install_location/Client.exe "CDCovers", it will start the instance with the CDcovers config.
Thanks for the info applelover. (Y)
nice work crni! (Y)
i was wondering if it was just me, but can anyone get the cd covers to show with the advmedaiplugin (when using iTunes)? :cry: or any other of the methods crni uses to show the album cover.
I have not been able to get it working with iTunes, but i just started trying a few minutes ago. I am going to work on it tonight. If I get any progress, i'll let you guys and girls know how. If anybody has any info that could help, I'd love to hear it.
Thanks
Never mind I got it figured out. I aparently was naming the pics folder.png which in XP will be folder.png.png
silly me
So, we're still having problems with this and iTunes? Great, I only have iTunes and the free version of Winamp 5, so until it's fixed it's no use to me.
(oh, and crni, is it possible to use relative paths for your skins as it's getting annoying having to repeatedly go through every config and replace c:\ with d:\ (I put Windows on C: for ease of formatting) I don't mean to sound like i'm having a go or anything it would just be more helpful for everyone, that's all).

Relative paths aren't available in Samurize. Not yet.
But there's a simple way to do it. Open desired config in notepad and push ctrl+h
In first field (find) type in the location that is in the config (c:\program files\samurize)
In second field (replace) type in your location (d:\program files\samurize)
I'm sure that you are aware of the fact that replacing 'c' to 'd' only will make a mess of the config ![]()
Updated :
CDCovers (fixed it to work with Samuize v1.25 + redesigned + added few more skins).
SoundBox (fixed it to work with Samuize v1.25)
REDOWNLOAD from my page....
Thanks for updating so fast.... Hope that it will work with autodownload missing covers....
hey CRNI this looks really cool but after many tries with the newest version I cannot get it to work I keep getting this error (see attached image). I have no idea what is causing it. ANy help would be appreciated.
EDIT: I get the same error when I try and use the soundBOx config too.
EDIT: Nevermind I was having a senior moment and forgot I didn't have version 1.25 awesome stuff CRNI works perfect.

it downloads indeed covers from amazon, you can change the plugin behavior in the advancedmediaplayer.opt located in the plugin directory, set your local covers folder (to save the one downloaded or tell the plugin to look here for album.jpg png etc.. )
...like I wrote in the README file :
Important:
~~~~~~~~~~
- You MUST have latest Samurize v1.25
installed in 'C:\program files\Samurize\'
- 'GetAlbumCover' function is been updated.
Now it support jpg,bmp,gif and png formats.It uses
'C:\Pogram Files\Samurize\Covers\' as default covers folder.
It search for covers in Album folder then in default folder
and then search on amazon.com and retrive cover based on
album and/or title tag.If found - jpg cover image is converted to png
on the fly and placed it in default folder.
If you want to change default cover folder or any other settings
edit 'AdvancedMediaPlayerInfo.opt' file (open in notepad) and change
global_dir = C:\Program Files\Samurize\Covers\
to desired covers folder path.
I suggest you read 'SpectrumReadme.txt' for more details.
Why don't you read the README files ?
I spent more time writing instructions in README files then in making configs ...
...and yet same questions are asked over and over again...
Sorry crni :6
Crni... you are the samurize master. Thanks alot for this. ![]()
**edit - I hate to be a pain but do you have any idea why this might be happening at times? It's working really well most of the time but some songs seem to generate this error. I couldn't find anything in the readme **
What skin style are you using when this happens ?
BOXED and Synergy styles automatically switch configs (run scripts) based on weather cover was found, so my guess is that you are not running CDCovers instance...
