[release] Avedesk 1.0 Final

Hiya all,

Not a lot of new things, but all bugs are (hopefully) fixed and a working mountchecker for CDs/DVDs. The source code for the mount checker is included with the SDK, so anyone can improve it.

Also, there are some extra desklets added and some of my docklets.

Expected in version 1.1 (after my exams):

ICO support
Better shadows
More animations
Snap-to-grid
More advanced settings (hue, saturation, maybe matrix colorization)

But mountchecker have strange behaviour... An icon for my DVD/CD-RW drive sometimes disappear while cd in it and somethimes not appear when I insert cd (not blank).

Can I help you to solve this problem? any kind of log or something else?

@NilColor: Too strange, I just worked out all errors I thought. Anyhoo, I don't have a lot of time this week, so I cant provide you a debug version, but I challenge every devvie here to fix it (source code is in the SDK ) .

I appreciate your work AndreasV . Some things that I think may have not been said but maybe should be:

Color labels dont look quite right. I think maybe if you look at panther screenshots you will see the difference? Maybe that could be another feature in 1.1

I have noticed the fonts and they dont match with the real ones of panther. It would be nice to be able to customize them. Maybe this is a feature I have juts not noticed?

@magnolium: thanks for submitting the bugs at the bug-tracker. I will check them (first need to install MobyDock).

@pixelmatrix: labels used are CRNI's samurize labels. Font is arial by default, but you could change that on the labels-tab. Check out the Help file, Unbeliever has a tip for making Panther labels in it, if I am correct

Yeah I seen the 128 one, but the icon in the tray is 16 bit and so is the exe icon when it's 32x32. At least it was for me.

Is there any way for the Mountchecker to display a custom name as opposed to the name of whatever disc, etc. is inserted? I type in "DVD Drive" in the Caption field, but it still comes up as 10_Things_I_Hate_About_You_DVD_Disc1 (currently inserted in my DVD drive). This takes up WAY too much room, and I was wondering if there was anything I could play with to make it display the name differently. Other than that - the kickest program of the year so far!

hey AndreasV, I love this app so much, I wish my coding skills where as elite as yours. I really apreciate that you have included the code with app, but I think this app has so much potential.

i would like to help in any way that I can, I myself will be crazy busy in the upcommming weeks, i am a creative director taking on some serious jobs and I know how its hard to make time for such things but if you feel like you need some help with the aplications aethetics, let me know (no offense to the work already in place, im just offering my services).

im sure im missing something :blink: - but when i open the task manager, i have each desklet listed under the app tab. if its something with the app, could 1.1 please fix it, because siwu's Expose clone (so far) also messes up Avdesk.
