It would seem to me that Gecko is a much better base for a browser than IE, I would have to say that the reason most people probabaly wont see a Safari clone built on it is due to its sheer complexity... If anything you'd want to use Firebird as a base, cause its basically optimised gecko code, but even from there you'd still need to learn how it all works... I believe there isnt a Firebird clone or something built upon gecko probabaly because thats kind of like Re-Inventing the wheels, If it aint broke dont fix it... but yeah still good stuff, looks promising

Please if you have tabs, middle mouse button opens window in new tab. That is my favorite feature in firebird.

I am not at home so I can not update my preview page, but... big news.
I have discovered how to integrate Gecko support into my application fairly simply. My app will allow you to CHOOSE between Gecko or IE rendering engines! It will behave exactly the same with each, with the exception of the different rendering engine. The reason for choice is some people prefer IE because some pages have IE specific code that makes the page look different while in Gecko, and so the want the old code and stuff. So. That being said, everyone can be happy now 
. I hope. I will do some research on the middle mouse button thing. I only will put that feature in if Safari has it. As for a name, I havent decided yet, but I dont think its something I need to worry about.

if u put that choise it will be one of best browser that i haver seen maybe better than original safari, better of mozilla or firebird

I have one feature request, which the original Safari is missing too. Add an option to save all tabs when exiting, so that we can resume browsing when opening it again. I can't imagine how the original developers could've implemented tabbed browsing without adding this >.<.

Look we have lost too many developers because of this type of ABUSE! We can't loose any more good ones. So please leave the poor guy alone and let him work and when it is done, if there is a feature that you feel needs implementing then ask him nicely not Give me this or Implement this now!
Just wait for it to work and then ASK NOT DEMAND for better features but FOR GOODNESS SAKE LEAVE HIM BE FOR NOW.

This is nice very nice. Take ur time guys and make this thing the way u want it to be before rushing it out to all the hungry people here. I no for sure that this will pull me away from the normal internet explorer but i can waite until its complete before i need to use it.
Its all about quality not the speed of getting this app out there and people that pester just dont realise that. Awsome work especially with two developers on it maybe this could be a thing of the future with joint projects i hope so anyway.

*Update*
my page is updated as of today with a few new screenshots and some things added about what ive been working on. Basically, ive added the Preferences User interface, and form... and then theres tabbed browsing. Now that is a pain. Theres many things that have to be included in tabbed browsing. Its buggy, but its working. so there ya have it.
