As for avatar, having big avatars is sometimes useful too, I've got lots of quality icons from those big avatars
I never even noticed the Status line was there until it was pointed out in this thread. Other than that I like how it is now.
Why bother? Changing something on a forum the size of AS is not as easy as you think Paralex and we're not going to install plugins so we can satisfy everyone. I say we keep things as hey are.
If we kill Sigs, Unbe will have to use an avatar....
Or you could kill it for non-Mod/Admin/Newsies etc. as a "priveledge" and a useful way to link the rules.
People can always pimp their sites in the "Community Sites" section or when releasing goodies.

Shrink the avatar... 96x96 or even 80x80 are pretty common.
I know it may kill some to have a smaller avatar, but size isn't everything. 
i thought it was 100x100 as it was before we switched to the new template? :S
I think removing post count is the best option. Why does that matter anyway?

Avatars are now 100x100, so when someone changes theirs they'll be limited. So keep what you got if you care for the big avatars.

here's an idea...why not kill the sig and make the infos appear just before the post? (like in vBulletin 3 default) it would give much more space for the posts and allow for more infos to be displayed...

Then we will need to significantly reduce the avatar size, or it will be a lot of wasted space. Plus, Timmeh put so much work into this skin, why would he redo it already?
