I have just installed this, freash versions of everything. It looks and work great Except i have no smilies in message window..In ieview in optins there also isnt a tab for emotes...to enable or whatever...something i missed?
@NC: please stop using needlemen in the future, are you aware of the fact that some people cannot load needlemen's sites (e.g myself

Unfortunately, the newer version of ieview does not support smileys all by itself. Instead, you have to download smileyadd and use it to do smileys.
I will update my walkthrough as soon as I get a little while to revamp it, not real high on my list of priorities right now.
hi there, this thread is surely long forgotten but i have a question. my miranda (fresh unzipped, 4.0.3) won't remember one thing: the statusbar visibility. like in the readme and in another thread in this board i unchecked the Frames > StatusBar > visible but it keeps reappearing everytime i start miranda again.
haven't found a solution for that here nor anywhere. can somebody give a hint?

I have the same problem, it's a problem with the clist_modern plugin, just don't upgrade to the latest version and you should be o.k. I am on version 0.3.2.13, and its fine, if i upgrade i have the problem like you. Hope this helps!

Uxtheme.dll is to customise visual styles as in the default luna, yes it allows for custom themes apart from xp defaults, and is available here:

okay, i'm just used to it but forgot that not every system supports that symbol. thanks for the advise. regarding the uxtheme.dll - yes, i was talking about the whole winXP look, the miranda thing was just one sidekick to get a less-ressource-consuming, nice mac-like look but main focus is now to get an alternative to styleXP or 3rd party tools like that. that's why i asked. but i think its too much offtopic. but if one reads this - maybe he or she can pm me.

how come when I go to look at peoples profiles it opens a mozilla window? how do i get around that?
It's supposed to do that, are the people in your list msn users? If so that's what is supposed to happen as its looking up their msn profile if i'm not wrong.
there are...but it does it for the aim profiles too...

i've got a problem with the skin. i do have installed the .dll's but there is only the configuration of clist_modern but not die AdiumX skin. I've tried it with 2 other skins before but with the same effect.The list is transparent
