Looks like your windows theme is messed up, do all your windows have buttons/scrollbars like that?
AdiumX skin for Miranda
all my miranda windows? yes, but the contact list is perfectly fine. all my windows windows? no.
Which versions of the plugins are you running? Are they the most up to date ones?
i'm pretty sure they are up to date. i have:
clist_modern - 0.3.2.17
dbx_3x - 0.5.5.1
ieview - 1.0.3.8
tabsrmm_unicode - 0.9.9.98
any ideas as to whats wrong?
Go to "Preferences -> Message Session -> Message Window -> Containers -> Global Container Options"
If you've checked the option "[x] Rounded Window" it should look like this:

Uncheck it to "[ ] Rounded Window" and your message window should now look like this:

weird, it didnt really fix anything. now instead of my corners being rounded and it looking like windows classic, they are square and classic. it looks pretty much like your first screenshot (the messed up one), except i dont even have a mac-style scrollbar. any other suggestions? (thanks for all your help by the way guys, and thanks for this plugin)
What version of Miranda and Modern Clist plugin are you guys using?
i'm using miranda 0.4.0.1 and clist modern 0.3.2.17
great skin, like others have said, it's made me go back to Miranda, but can i make a suggestion? try using the TrueType vesrion of "Lucida Grande Bold" as opposed to the Type1 version. it looks a lot cleaner ![]()
btw, don't laugh at the crap names for some of my contacts, i didn't pick their nicks ![]()

edit- bah, damn vbb tags ![]()
i can't get it to work at all, see here:

can anyone help me out by telling me what is wrong ot emailing the folder to me?
timbob16[at]gmail[dot]com
appreciated.
also in a conversation window how do you get it to display your pic and there's after each message please.
timbob, are you new to Miranda? You'll have to install the clist_modern and ieview plugins...
-NC
P.S: The answer to your second post is the ieview plugin.
i am new to it mate, i have put the clist_modern in the folder but wasnt sure about the ieview plugin, thanks for the reply ![]()
sorry to double post again (it's to get attention to the thread) but it still wont work,i'm using miranda 0.4.0.1 and clist modern 0.3.2.17
this is a picture of my plugin folder:
http://img314.imageshack.us/img314/1594/original7fk.jpg
anything wrong?
also the customise option on miranda isn't showing up:
http://img424.imageshack.us/my.php?image=im5vu.jpg
thanks for the help.
You didn't install clist_modern correctly. It has to be inside the plugins folder, not inside any folder INSIDE the plugins folder. Take a look at Options-->Plugins. I bet you clist_modern isn't on there
.
Also, you may need tabsrmm.dll, either the Unicode version or the icons version.
-NC
thanks for replying again, just installed the ieview it says it is recognised in the miranda options.
so take everthing that is in a folder out? ![]()
Edit: New image:

All plugins should be in /Miranda IM/Plugins (that is all the .dll s)
For ieview to work I think that you also need either tabsrmm (comes with the latest nightly) or scriver and within the options for either you need to activate support for ieview.
ie: for tabsrmm
Options->message sessions->message logs tab->scroll down to "support for external plugins" and check use ieview as default message log.
hmm it might just be a little thing like not installing the right miranda, web or full?
Web Installer (Recommended) (239 KB)
Full Installer (943 KB)
thanks for the help guys really do appreciate it, about to go bed and wil try and get it sorted in the morn ![]()
there is something you have to know, clistmodern plugin ONLY WORKS with non-unicode build of Miranda. Get the latest nightly build (very stable in my opinion) of miranda here http://blog.miranda-im.org and make sure you get the non-unicode one.
Good luck mate ![]()
I have the unicode version of modern layered that does work with the unicode core and which can usually be found here: http://shpynov.nm.ru/alpha/
And as of today build #42 is out and as the blog says-
"Now all nightlies will include all popular clist clones, they should work Ok with the unicode core. BE CAREFUL: there might be certain number of problems with these clones but the clist_classic - it works Ok. Please, detect them and notify plugins authors and me, cause I don’t have enough experience with advanced clist clones."
@timbob
Miranda does not *need* an installer- just extract the directory and run miranda32.exe. I have a feeling that the webinstaller just downloads the plugins on the fly during installation but you will effectively get the same thing as a full install if you select all options.
right once again thanks to those who are helping me, managed to get this far:
have a few problems though
1) i cant seem to change the open/close icon
2) need to resize the window (msn) as it somehow transformed to that rectangular shape
3) my av isn't being displayed
4) get rid of that msn little blue icon in the window
5) the font doesn't seem right.
thanks ![]()
1) i cant seem to change the open/close icon
Not too sure about what you mean here.
2) need to resize the window (msn) as it somehow transformed to that rectangular shape
Possibly vertical maximise of message window may be enabled. look in tabsrmm options.
3) my av isn't being displayed
Check to make sure that you have installed into a directory named 'Miranda IM'- seeing there isnt a db key for msn avatars the avatar service will often just guess the path of your avatar using default parameters. Otherwise check in your /miranda im/msn folder for the actual avatar "MSN avatar.png". Is it there? And you need to ensure that png2dib.dll (or possibly some other image processing dlls like imgdecoder.dll imagelib.dll gdiplu.dll PNGimg.dll, can never remember which one is needed) is in the plugins directory and enabled.
5) the font doesn't seem right.
Do you have cleartype enabled?- You can change the fonts by in customise-> list text or install the font services plugin
Your contacts frame is slightly larger than it needs to be
Go into options-> contact list window-> client area margins to align it properly
1) "ICONS:
- Navigate to Options > Contactlist > Icons
> Select "Main Icons", then "Import icons >>"
> In the upcoming window, navigate to AdiumXResources
> Select "arrow_closed.ico" and assign it to the respevtive icons.
> Repeat the steps for "arrow_open.ico"."
is what i mean (sorry about that)
2) i managed to resize it, not sure how but it is back to it's original position.
3) the msn avatar.png is there, what do i do now?
4) ignore that managed to sort it.
5) font is changed now, thanks
6)how do you get rid of the "dan is typing" that appears in the bottom left?
7) how do you get rid of their display pictures too?
does it all look ok:

sorry to be an annoyance.
6)how do you get rid of the "dan is typing" that appears in the bottom left?
As in the popup? or in the massge window?
Popup: options->popups->msn->uncheck 'display popups when user is typing'
message window: open up any message window-> right click on the tool bar(the one with the button for emoticons etc)->container options-> under 'layout options' select hide status bar.
Or to turn it off altogether: options->message sessions->typing notify->options avalible
7) how do you get rid of their display pictures too?
Get rid of display pictures in the contact list is in options->contact list-> row items-> avatar tab
for the message window im not actually sure
does it all look ok:
your client area still looks like it is a couple of pixles too big on the right hand side of the contact list
